Is there a list of the weapons with false stats somewhere? Is the brutal flanged mace one of them?

Weapon damage Q
Hi all: I have a feeling this is a stupid question, but be nice to me anyway! What does it mean when a weapon has two kinds of damage? So if a mace has both crushing damage and slashing damage, how is the overall damage calculated? Are they just added together? I feel like that's not right... Thanks...
