Well I have a different experience. I mostly agree with most of the part but I can do solo at lvl120 especially at bogans, wraiths and golems. but i need to stop to give way for my regen lol.

For me, choose Fire storm. damage isnt visually good than ice blast but the cooldown and efficiency is far better. Ice Blast is a superior damage inflicting skill, but if u missed. ur dead

I have my attune and lure at maxed, its sick.. I can take 3 star golems in 2-3 hits. best so far but im still experimenting different skill set. i have used 10 alt books now. lol

But the grim adds 100 focus which is somewhat important for a mage. but IDK

FIRE is better than ICE if ur talking PVP, I used to be an ICE mage and has a wimpish rating on ranking ( I feel bad about it). I think using ICE makes perfectly sense for PVP. Ive FIRE is far better when it comes to efficiency and has a faster cooldown. I was a wimpish using ICE but when I moved to FIRE I became competent. Listen to Solid... I cant barely scratched him with my lvl 121 mage lol
