I was thing of a snake a bit like the serpent in the game already i think there very cool and there isn't a staff that goes on the floor rather than flying also you won't have to spend alot of time making them and you should get them in the serpent chests where you can get some snake fasion abit like maduser the women who turns people to stone that can be the proc chance.

Ill post this again, as I wasnt satisfied with my last entry. Last post deleted

The mount i had in mind was a powerful new type of Dragon Staff, and I couldnt really get my idea on to the paper.
So, I got a little help from my iPad, a picture editing app, and im closer to visualising my idea.
The top picture is the original picture, drawn with a pretty hard pencil.
The bottom one is the edited one.

So let me introduce the next high end mount, said to be used by Efnisien himsel on his journey back, the grand Furious staff of Fire; an extremely powerful ride dependant on high lvl, high novelty and focus/energy!
Offcourse, any player, no matter how high or low level, can ride this mount.

However, within this mount there is a skill hiding: The devilish dragon breath
If you execute this skill, the mount will for a very short time, glow with tremendious heat. Immidiately after, a short outbreak of flames will burst out from its nose. This is what im trying to illustrate in the bottom picture. After the outbreak it will return to its normal look/color, but now a flame will be spewing out of its nose for as long as the skill is active. You can now attack any foe while the skill is active.

Requirements for usage of skill:
High player level! One requirement could be that the player must wear full Dragonlord armour, or perhaps full frozen armour would be more logical...
High Novelty level!

If you meet the above criteria, you are ready to start using the skill, however...
The strength of the attack will highly rely on your level of focus.
This attack wont automaticly stop after a set period of time. Instead it will start to deplete your energy. Once out of energy, the skill will stop, and your mount will go completely back to normal. Cooldown for this skull should be long.

So there it is, the mount of my dreams!

A phoenix is a mythical bird that is a fire spirit with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue, and green according to some legends). It has a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self. It is said that the bird's cry is that of a beautiful song. The Phoenix's ability to be reborn from its own ashes implies that it is immortal.

After dying and respawning, the phoenix rises from the ashes, resetting all skill cool downs and refilling full energy.*

Notes
I came up with this idea by looking at the two biggest mage problems at boss fights.
1. Dying and losing your attunement, which severely drops your DPS.
2. Not having enough energy to continue casting spells.

I had an "Aha!" moment when I realized what mount would fit perfectly to solve these problems. Phoenixes are well known for "rising from the ashes." So, why not have a phoenix rise from the ashes while resetting the rider's energy and cool downs?

As for how this connects to Celtic mythology—it directly relates to the current event, so there's your link.

The drawing you see above is my fourth (or fifth?) attempt. It wasn't too easy sketching and coloring it. I planned on drawing Armo as the phoenix rider, but I cut him out because I messed up too many times. Drawing birds is way easier than drawing people.

I also originally planned on coloring it with the classic red/orange/yellow (fiery) colors, but I didn't have enough different shades to create a smooth gradient. Since I had about 10 different shades of blue, I went for an icy phoenix.

Color scheme — blue for the feathers, purple for the armor, black for the talons/claws/beak, gray for the bones.
