Topics getting locked

I don't understand why the mods lock topics about scammers and keeps on removing the names when it can be really useful for us?!
I want to try and explain the reasoning behind the 'name and shame' rule a bit more.
I understand that naming people who you feel are scammers alerts others on the server as to their activities, and I appreciate that you would like to warn others of their actions. However, all I have seen over the past few months is that when such posts are made they are either posted in a malicious tone or descend into a flame war. As these are the official Celtic Heroes forums, we do not want such topics and posts populating the forum as it does not create a very friendly or welcoming impression for new and potential players. Nor does it make it a nice place for existing players.
Many other MMO forums do not allow the naming of players in such a manner (for example World of Warcraft), and things had gotten to a point here where we felt it was necessary.
We are doing as much as we can to prevent scamming. For example we introduced the confirmation screens in trades, and there is the upcoming mail and e-mail verification systems in the next expansion. These new systems should help tremendously. However, players also have a responsibility to be vigiliant themselves. There is only so much we can do, the final push has to come from the players.
