There's a fake me going around asking for stuff
He spells my name with a uppercase i instead of lowercase L, so it looks like this GaIatic3... dont give this person any gear. I dont ask for stuff... so stay safe

Yes I agree that I hate those fakes. But ppl should be able to tell the difference though, via looking at your lvl.

I give away things all the time but it has nothing to do with names.
I think this was an attempt to have someone to carry an image in the hopes of a miss trade with a deal or trade thinking it was the real you. Seen it done to bank accounts. People dont double check who they are really trading to and fall victom in trade with some one who is a look alike.

I double check when I trade to my alt to make sure some noob dont hit me with a trade request, I could lose my items just by some off chance of not checking the names.

It does happens.
