Currently, the roster for TBW includes 90 players, with somewhere in the range of 50-60 'active members' (ranging in activity from those who are 'just popping in' to see if game has updated, to tireless grinders who are on A LOT!) Although at least 20 of those who are inactive have likely left the game entirely, I suspect that a good portion of the membership will be returning (at least temporarily) to check out the changes to our beloved game/world. As such, I have decided to postpone all application reviews until the update drops, or at least May 7th, if the release is further delayed... This way my more senior membership will not be greeted by 10, 20, or 30 new members all online at the same time - as it is, many will have a hard time just getting to know the most recent generation(s) of recruits!
Besides, as many of us have seen - clans that experience rapid growth also experience rapid contraction and/or splintering shortly after these growth spurts!!! I am not looking for this to happen to us, as we already went through our 'growing pains' after the last update, and are SOOOO over internal strife here!
In the meantime, I have been offering interested parties the option to become a guardian in my alternate clan "TheFortyTwa" (TFT), led by my alt: FilthyMcNasty. Please message me or one of my alts if you are interested in this!
Originally envisioned as a training ground for lower levels who wanted to enlist with TheBlackWatch, I have re-purposed it to be used as a sort of 'waiting room' while we wait for the update and begin to admit people into TBW. As a guardian in TheFortyTwa you may invite your friends if they are interested in joining TBW and get to know some of the other potential members. Membership in TheFortyTwa does not guarantee you will be accepted into TBW, as consult with my guardians and clansmen first on the suitability of potential nominees and take their recommendations VERY seriously. Likewise, you are under no obligation to stay in TFT or accept an invitation to TBW, and you are free to group with whoever you chose, but I encourage you to get to know some of our regulars to help you make an informed decision!
Please be advised that while TheBlackWatch is a very successful clan on Epona and some of us are, how you say - ADDICTED to this game, it has always been my mandate to keep things relaxed and fun, fair and helpful, and most importantly - POLITE to others, be them friend or foe. I have NO desire to have our clan's name become embroiled in nasty flame wars, accusations, or name-calling on the shout board, and I would rather maintain our close and healthy ties with the many other powerful clans/players on our world rather than expand my ranks with agitators, jeopardizing this spirit of peace and cooperativeness we currently enjoy.
So please, if you want to join TBW watch your P's and Q's, and ignore (or even block) people who are trying to start trash talk whenever possible. We pride ourselves on maturity here, so conduct yourselves accordingly!
