Quercos “Q” was my first MMO character ever. I own no consoles and had found books and life much more compelling all of my adult years. I had that attitude that many older folk/parents have “Those silly games are for kids!” *insert old man voice* Well, I had left my long time Path Finder/D&D (tabletop RPG) group because of scheduling issues and was starving for some social time in a fantasy setting. I downloaded the free app and started playing. I had chosen a Druid because that’s what I usually played in D&D. After about 30 minutes I was level 6 and got invited to HelterSkelter. I had no idea what the whole clan thing was for so I just stuck with the first one that found me. The higher ups of Helter were extremely supportive, enthusiastic and friendly so I stayed as the offers to switch clans began coming in. The higher my level the more the offers but Baz, Sig, Jo and yes, even PBR were the nicest people so I decided to stick. I asked a lot of questions (I was a true noob) and offered a ton of ideas. I became general, I made rules, a website, and we began putting together the vision for an elites clan. I will just say, it was a blast and I learned a lot. I also learned what Clan meant (to me) and decided to try and forge that in our new clan.
So there you have it! Clan them, a Helter elites clan was born. Yet we are a bit more than just a Helter elites clan and non-Helters are welcome (Helters get preferential consideration when recruiting). We are a band of dear friends who have been playing with each other for many months now and have grown enjoy the company of fellow chill players. We are not reaching for #1, if that’s your thing join Soli, thats their gig. We aren’t striving for largest, that’s Helter and it is doing just fine as the Big Ole Beast. Yes, I want to kill Aggy and collect all the cool quest gear and make tons of gold every day but I want to be with good people, friends, and people I trust when I do it. If this means it takes me longer to get those things accomplished then that's okay by me. Clan means something different to me.
What I’ve learned is that this game will give me nothing back if I don’t make it. There is no reward for playing everyday for a year. No special honor for being in a clan for any particular time. I will receive no congratulations letter from the OTM team for achieving level 150. This game is a time vampire...UNLESS!! I surround myself with friends and get to actually know and like the people I waste my time with. Many of us have become pals outside of this game but we had to make those connections. This is what I get back. This makes my time worth wasting.

So, if you are looking at Clan them and wondering what we are about, well there is my vision and I am one of the 3 heads (definitely the most verbose). If my hippy vision appeals to you then please get to know me and my clan.
