Here's what happened between me and "GameSupport" (the scammer)

GameSupport - We have recently noticed that your account has been hacked by someone. We are going to need your username and password to investigate this issue.

Me - I was hack! Oh well how can I fix this?

GameSupport - Just give us your username and password and we can help you.

Me - ok let me find it.

GameSupport - Take your time.

Me - Ok I found it.

Me - My user name is ImNotAsStupidAsYouThink and my password is TryAgainFreak.

*GameSupport logs out*

*Five minutes later*

*GameSuppor logs in*

GameSupport - The info you gave me was wrong.

Me - Oh no! It was?!? Brb let me find my Celtic Heroes info.

GameSupport - Ok, take all the time you need.

Me - Btw, I met OTM's chars once, they were level 1000. You're level 1... What the deal? You forget to change the data base in your character?

*silence*

Me - Well, have fun with your banned account

Me - Bye


Everyone, be careful of these scams. Yes I know it's stupid right :p You have to keep in mind... Why would OTM need my account info? They already have all the info stored in thier data base when I created my account. Besides, who needs to go onto someone's account to "investagate" a problem :p (Also, if you noticed what the scammer said, He said I was "hacked." If I was hacked, the hacker would already have my account info anyways and I wouldn't be on it :p Nice try Mr. Scam. Be careful everyone

Unlike my post about Trusting No-One, this scam is one that is hitting new players mere moments after first playing the game and in my opinion is way worse than the trading scams that go on.

What's really sad is this guy sits inside of the rock on the castle side of the beach and hits up noobs just starting out in the game. Granted he isn't going to get much off of a level one account, but for someone brand new to the game and especially the youngers players, when they see his message come on the screen, they are more likely to actually hand over the information. The scammer can just sit back and waits for them to level up and then bleeds their accounts.

I have sent the info to support, but since we are not allowed to post the pics on here I really can't show anyone what and where to look aside from describing it. Worst part is we are a month into this guys scams and I still see him in-game pulling the same scam weeks after it was first reported, so absolutely nothing has been done to stop him as his vctims continue to pile up. I keep hoping OTM will step up to the plate and IP ban this person or people if more than one, so we can be done with them permanently.

Ultimately in the long run, jumping in and banning those who abuse the system now, will lead to less support tickets being sent in from accounts being hacked, which by the way, the new mail system will not prevent this from happening at all because of how the scam is worked.
