Then I remembered my words in a post about a week ago. There may be a few bad apples, but there are good ones too.
Here is an example of a few recent good encounters:
My clan (Squad Up) did not have a great many high level players online at both instances, so I asked for help. This is the tale of who responded:
First Encounter of awesomeness:
I did not even ask for help, I was kinda whiny (during a conversation with Shep) about not getting my meteoric because I needed echoes of Morrigan (3) and only had 1. Shepman responded and dragged good ole Bhim with him and parked off and camped the Priestess of Morrigan in Carrowmore – just to help me get the echoes. Granted the priestess dropped everything BUT echoes… but the idea was there. Those two are beyond awesome.
Second Encounter of awesomeness:
So finally Dominator spawns while I am in OW (they took my presents away so I stopped hanging out in Lirs) and half my clan are lixing. So friendlist gets checked – and lo and behold. 12ayne. Woot! I ask him if they felt like doing domi – a minute later I get a group request. He dragged a few of his Relent buddies in (offhand I think it was Lafawn, Godoflife and now I am hitting a blank -.- but yeah Relent

I have so many more instances, but for right now, these are the two most recent instances where friends lent a helping hand for no personal gain at all. Just because they are awesome. So thank you to all those guys making this game awesome. I will try and remember that the awesomeness of certain individuals far outclass the ickness of the bad apples.
