Dear herne leaders and future leaders,
first of all what is a leader?
A leader is someone who knows where he is going and persuade others to follow his foot steps.
A leader must know how to:
Plan, planning is important it keeps the clan organized, it helps you in decision making. planning helps in achieving goals, a leader needs to ask the how,when.where,who and what questions. They need to measure the opportunity cost before deciding to take actions, they need to plan how it will work, when will the clan be ready, where will your competitions be, who will be next and what will be the next step, these are some examples of planning.
motivate, motivation is the drive that push you to take that extra step. A leader must know how to motivate their subordinates, it also depends on what kind of workers you have, there are two types of workers theory X and theory Y according to McGregor's theory. theory X is the lazy, unmotivated and stupid while theory Y is the motivated, hard working and smart. To motivate theory X workers you need to use the autocratic leadership style which is the one way communication down the hierarchy, you ARE THE ONE who commands them and you bark at them and do not let them bark back. theory Y is best using the laissez faire style, you let them do want they want as they are good at it and seldom makes mistakes, when you are gone its best to delegate them rather than theory X. To motivate people you will also need to set an example and also words are weak compared to fist power but when you know how to use them well it will be the most powerful motivational tool you will ever used for example this quote will motivate people for leveling, " If you cant fly then run, if you cant run then walk, if you cant walk then crawl but whatever you do you have to keep RISEing.", "loyalty is the best policy.".
solve problems, instead of being upset, angry, depressed and start blaming people, a leader should solve the problems and start thinking, you might not be a great scientist or got the PhD in psychology but at least you start to think , when you think, you start to have a clearer thought and tend to solve for solutions and then take actions rather than being angry, you need to be patient. for example, in a clan there might be a fight against each other and a leader should know whats best to do and deal with it with equal measures treating equally and by not being bias. A clan is like a family, sometimes family fight with each other but in the end it will work out IF you learn how to accept each other.
respect subordinates, a leader uses his subordinates as tools but a true leader are the tools to their subordinates, you are the tool not the people you control, a leader must be "down to earth", it is not like " I'm cheiftein, and you must obey because you are just a recruit (floor worker)", a leader must deal things diplomatically instead of saying "I own the clan" you should be saying " we own the clan" as it shows teamwork and it will make your subordinates feel like they own the clan too which is also part of motivation. A leader must help their subordinates, when you keep helping people it will make it as a culture as they will follow how you treat them too. I, myself do not just help our own clan, I try to help all too but when you are too busy, you will only manage to help some but not all, at least you helped.BUT DO NOT HELP THOSE WHO KEEPS SPAMMING AND BEING RUDE WHEN NOT HELPED.
enthusiastic, a leader must be full of enthusiasm as in an interest in every thing such as answering questions, making decisions and must be pro-active and also responsive. A leader must be responsible to any act in clan and take actions. when things are not doing well, a leader must not give up, for example when i was in celticphychos i was level 60+ and was the only one in clan left, all of them left clan and joined companions ( chillrend's clan), or moved to a higher clan and they boss kill bosses, i was left outside alone without any help, seeing them have fun killing bosses n etc, i just went patient and with heart I stayed loyal for a very long time, somehow i gained followers and they created a bond with ME and we became one big family. I sometimes act crazy but a leader must have a good sense of humor too lol.
I have got carried away and I should stop here before I make a full novel, there are more leadership qualities to be explained but you will learn as time goes by and developed new ideas for yourself, grow wisdom deeply and widen your knowledge too. tyvm for reading!!
