People are now using in-game mail to request items from other players, using names that look like well known, high level players.
IF you send items to anyone, via in-game mail - be sure to check their class and level before hitting send.
Use your clan or friends list instead of the area list, or replying to the original sender - just in case.
Also, there is no such thing as an Infection Bank - even if there were, we wouldn't be asking people outside the clan to put things there. Don't fall for it!

#4Thanks for the heads up. Apparently there's been someone going around making fake clan banks. Kind of annoying if you ask me.
Re: Spoofing via mail
#5also guys, what caught my eye is this: i got mail from this fake account and in my notifications the name comes up perfectly, no trickery at all. it came up, freyaa has mail from alth0r. so i knew straight away. he asked if he could borrow my offhand to try on his mage lol... scammers are so dumb.

Re: Spoofing via mail
#10Just to remind u all that sunshinee made a post on the forums selling that same item so anyone who is on the forums knew about it. For the other items they have always asked for items we actively use like aggy bracelets that are always used so its easy to see them wearing it. Nobody is guessing at what they have they know because they can see what we have.
