That's why i dont buy big amounts of plat now and there is nothing anyone can really do apart from try persuade him. Sorry

Sorry to hear of that. There's really not much that can be done in these situations so you'll just have to chalk it up to experience. Never, ever lend any item as even seemingly good friends can get corrupted.
Hope this doesn't turn you off the game for good.
