Our little world before needed competition and got it with 2 clans. Now that we've gotten this HUGE world, bosses are sitting around everywhere and none of the noob clans can do anything about it.
That said I think there should be 4 clans or so. This would create a massive distruption in the game and that the "chips will fall where they fall".
As it looks now there is a lot of working together which is understandable but I think it's time to try and get the competition back because honestly - I feel it getting stale.
Here's what my PERSONAL thoughts are on what a clan should look like:
My thoughts on what a clan should be...
Not attempting to be the biggest --> only the best. If we're a clan of 10-15 people, so be it. There is no level requirement but do not invite people without at least 3 people's ok. IF an invited player is deemed not to be "one of us" they will be booted with a reason explained to them should they need- people will not "accidentally" be booted.
#1 "rule" ---> HAVE FUN. Everyone in clan should be active, smart and get along with everyone. That said, we need to check our attitudes at the door or watch for when attitudes are a problem. COMMUNICATION IS KEY. If there's a problem. Address it then and there with someone. Don't let someone bother you daily and hold it in, its most likely not even known that an issue exists from the other guys perspective.
Drop policy:
It lands on you - you keep it.
If its something that can help someone be smart - GIVE it to them. By helping others - you help yourself. Equipping all of your alts first - does not help our front line build to be the best and will be our downfall. Equip you and if you have a drop for a different player - hang on to it till the other guy is ready to upgrade or just give it to them. Once we have a front line built - go nuts with drops.
Grouping with other clans - you keep the drop you get. Make sure they understand this before you fight with them. If you give them the drop - that's your choice. Make sure a clan member didn't need it first.
Hoarding is an important part of the game. Currently there are players (leaders of clans etc) that possess 90+ oaks elms etc. if these weren't hoarded, they would be completely worthless. If you cannot hoard, turn it in to me or someone like me with massive storage compartments, they may be of use later. For instance - I had 25 tiger eyes when the update hit.
Respond to clan boss call outs or help requests. If you're going to go to it - answer them FIRST It will allow a spot to be reserved for you when you get there.
Alts : unless you cannot fill a group of active players and another clan is at the fight - do NOT have alts in group. Use them outside of group. Allow others to have fun and the same odds as you to get the drop/xp etc.
Alts: Let everyone know your alts names - see communication above. If someone knows your alt is a Druid and needs a Druid and you show up with a rogue - this causes them to eat idols or possibly lose a battle. We are smart guys (and gals). Let's make sure we stay that way.
Shouts: Please stay funny. If you get ksd or attitude from a player, don't start an argument or go off cussing at them. Instead say something in clan chat. Being silent will freak the other people out and will keep a mysterious-ness about the clan. It also shows self respect.
Mainly to avoid communication issues with new people. There are lots of languages in game, if you know one (I speak English, Pig Latin and Typoneese

If I missed something here - tell me, I will fix it.
FFS- HAVE FUN AND KICK ASS
