Re: Stolen items being sold

If the Royal Crown of England got stolen, and someone shows up wearing the Royal Crown of England, I'm sure the British police will go after that guy. If you're a decent person with morals, you wouldn't root for the guy wearing the stolen crown or denounce the actions of those who would see the crown returned to its rightful place.[/quote]

"the scottish monarchs of old used to have a crown after being robbed by the english this sits in westminster abbey, where it is to this present day "

Where did this become about getting drops? OP was that he was going to go after anyone that had a cammo charn, or ES equip. Kinda seems controllingto me that one man wants to control items on a server, excuse me keep track of items on a server
Just be honest with yourself when putting me down. I'm ok with knowing you or anyone don't like me. Maybe someone sees what I am talking about.
Also read up on Jonsetown. Kinda parrallels here.
Derp,
I am actually reasonably ok with anyone on our server with your labeling of "Avalon only gear". The OP states STOLEN as the culprit . Avalon would never complain about a legitamately obtained piece of gear; heck other clans DO kill the bosses same as us. However, the issue here is the fact that someone stole using trickery and deceit. Once again, derp, i would not be upset AT ALL if another clan/person obtained the gear without stealing from other players.
Do you not see the point being conveyed yet?

i don't mean to attack anyone or possibly offend but i think your making too much of a big deal about this
the same person came up to me before this situation, imposed as mortal and said that they would loan me full radient if i gave my haste ring first, so he convinced me to the point of doing a trust trade where he had my ring at a point but gave it back then asked to do it again but with more. At that point i asked him a question only he would know which he ignored. I contacted mortal and talked to him about it and we warned several people.
I have been scammed as a noob.
I could have quit, but I decieded to continue rather than linger on previous mistakes.
Imo this is a bad way of denouncing sed person.
And I know you don't mean this but at first glance to me it was like hey, this is our very strong item, and even though it no longer belongs to us we wont allow any other person to own it.
Again I know that's not intended

To tolerate scammers and leave them alone without consequences is a defeatist attitude, and only encourages them to continue doing the same thing to others, and as long as people are willing to buy stolen goods, they will never stop. I know there are a lot on the server that would all be too happy to be able buy off a stolen Hrungnir item from a scammer and this was a warning that if anyone does, we have no idea if it was the scammer himself who gave it to his main char, or someone who didn't know he was buying a stolen item, so this post should at least get the word out.

Not meaning to butt heads with anybody ail, but just by simply looking at somebody how can you tell if items are stolen/bought from a scammer? The items culda been sold by another legit non-scammer, or actually obtained by a boss kill, but i guess i can see ur point too as avalon is the only clan to really kill hrungnir, so if it wasnt scammed then an ava has been selling these items.(just something to think about)
