In my opinion, this is a very good idea. At least u have the spirit for competition and u dont just easily loosing ur hope for a chance to be the number one. I tell u hollywood, u r not a looser! Keep it up! My humble advice is, never ever being greedy if u wanted to make ur dream come true. Even the top clans were failed to maintain their reputation because of this greediness. Think as a clan, noone should be more powerfull then the others if u talking about the dps thingy. U better have all members equiped with the same dps gears (and armor etc), instead of several members with the best gears. The best dps in ur clan (mostly is a rogue or a mage) would probably still cant solo the 4 stars mob at their level without using a resto or combo or haste lix. (Ask a rogue or mage level 190 to solo those troll 180 at snori pit, only a ranger with bolas will survive without a resto in 8 or 9 out of 10 attempts, and a druid with decent giant warding). They are still need their clan to kill 5 stars carrow bosses. The point is growing together as a clan will make u stronger in the future. The same vision, the same pace. Keep it steady but surely moving forward. Patience is virtue. And again (this is the most important), enjoying the game, always try new build to make the game fun. Dont just stuck and give up if u just had the bad gears. Its all about ur stat and abilities. Armor/Gears is the second thing to survive. Just keep leveling. Ur clan can kill the King and Priest as long as the main dps group are 10 level above the bosses and with only ancient beastbone armor. Level does matter on taken the damage from Chaos Bosses. Thats bs if ppl kept thinking they need full frozen/dl to kill those bosses. U just need 10 level above those bosses and u will doing fine (and ur tank should be also leveling his her abilities, or just bolas and kiteing it). In these days, its not so hard to make 10 levels above those bosses right? So good luck! Have fun!

You guys do make valid points, but your forgetting the main point that would not make this a Commy way. This would be more like NATO. Where you join your FRIENDS, alliances become 'aligned' like i had said before because of common interest and the will to become better. Now if you wanna screw up your friends and take more of the drops and leach off the republic, then you don't deserve to be in it in the first place. So its more of a representative group of people from several clans equally working hard. They personally benefit from gold drops and constant leveling and boss battles, their 'mother' clan benefits from month winnings from all that hard work.

In the end, the republic clan is just a phase, a phase to align 3-5 clans for several months or a year to super level its members and gain money and items so when they go back to their own clan, they increase the power of it...

Its not a forced idea, you would want to join to help out your friends. As far as the chief goes, there are a handful of players that 99% of the people trust, People like Jaimeson (sorry about spelling) and others who have the common interest for the progression of the game

That defeats the purpose of a competition setting. *cough cough* lugh *cough* gwydion *cough* . Im sorry but theres a reason i love playing with my hand picked clannies and not all of morrigan. I like to vote and discuss who we let into our group.

I'm glad you said people instead of certain clans. I find it really hard to hate a clan, Its usually just a bad apple here or there, and the more bad apples the worse your clan looks. But yeah this could never happen, and correct clan is great because of your close friends.
