I’m obviously not from Morrigan (although I did make a mage a while ago), but I can definitely relate to Avalon’s response.
Regardless of what has happened before this particular incident, interference with a raid boss is much MUCH more significant than griefing on another boss. Instead of ruining the experience for let’s say 8 people, you’re ruining it for 20-30+. I don’t understand why you would create a thread when according to the facts, it was members of your clan that started the raid boss resetting issue, and it caused a response where your own Mordris raid was ruined… The subject of whether there will be continuous raid boss interference is of course a decision made on an individual basis.
As comparison, I am in the dominant clan on Crom and every other clan knows that if they ruin the experience for our clan members, we will retaliate 10 fold. Kill a questing member in the arena? We will kill your entire clan on sight for a long time. Reset or grief a boss we’re killing? We will return the favour as well as gladly ‘farm’ where you’re lixing when we see you. The key point is that every member of a clan represents every other person in the clan.
It’s not a territorial thing, neither is it abusing power. We just happen to have more power therefore can retaliate stronger. Hopefully that sheds some light, if it doesn’t then I guess you need to be in a dominant clan to understand.
Previously, one of my clannies dragged one one or two trolls on Avalon's Mordris raid, which our cheif wasnt happy about, which apparently is equal in Avalon's terms as to prevent us from getting the Mordris kill. Granted, i dont condone my clan's actions which I hope I have made abundantly clear, but for reasons of "equality"' this retaliation completely missed the line. You are saying just what Aileron is, that you can and will retaliate worse, and as I have previously said, its a matter of whether you should, not your capability.
You're right when interfering with a raid boss is technically worse than something else because of people affected, which is not my point, though.
I never once said my clan and everyone in it is perfect. I also said previously that my post applies to my clan too. But as a whole, we dont have a mentality that we should get back at someone by doing things that cause nothing but anger and hate. Avalon has the right to outlock us on as many bosses as they wish. And they also, indeed, have the capability to retaliate. I am not saying that you cannot retaliate. I asking why you would retaliate, when it causes nothing but anger and fustration in a game that is supposed to be enjoyable. I do not want a bitter environment in the game, and im sure not many other people want it either.
