I think majority in Avalon knows if we have been beaten to a boss, and we are late then we back off, unless we have a partial group formed in the vicinity and some on the way when it's attacked, it's hard to stop all the people coming in who arrive and see a FFA/comp fight.

The only exception is when it involves Golg, because according to Golg, all bosses are FFA, so we respect their rules and jump on their every boss fight, as they do the same to us.

I stand by anything in the arena, the purpose of putting these bosses in the arena was to create a different environment where not only is it player v mob, you have to deal with other players after the same thing.

The reason i create this post is because of hatred and uncanny atttitudes because of what some consider a ks and what some consider fair play, i feel like this issue should be elimnated.

It's only an issue if you make it one . Kill the mob and move on , I would say about 95% of the time people cry ks they are just full of crap. As a matter of fact charge , I've killed bosses and heard you crying ks when it clearly was not.

Some people like drama, discussing ks on forums will not make these people like drama any less

So I'm not allowed to post what I think a ks is? Idc what world forum it is in, it is still relevant to the game. Read the topic name.. 'Define Ks'. It is not 'Define Ks, only People from Morrigan are allowed to answer'. Not sure what your problem is and why you think only people from a specific world are allowed to post on that worlds forums, but my post was relevant to the topic, so why does it matter what world I'm from?

I believe he wanted to know how Morrigan players defined KS, if he wanted a general answer I'd assume he wouldn't of posted it on the Morrigan section amirite??

Here's where I don't like people crying about 'ks', if I go mob or boss hunting and come upon a mob or boss and there's a group of players just standing there trying to get organized or whatever but still haven't engaged, and I engage and then they start in, guess what? It's not a damn ks. Idiots should be fighting instead of standing there. But since they stood there for 10 minutes waiting for all their clan members or group to come that counts as claiming that mob or boss eh? Nope.

If multiple parties are camping the same boss, ie falgren spawn and say fal or brutus spawns and we all engage when he does spawn. Whoever gets the kill gets the kill. No crying afterward or whining ks. I've been outnumbered and gotten the kill and sometimes not gotten the kill, I don't cry or say 'haha I beat you' either way. I simply move on to the next mob or boss. How can me and another player be camping, brutus spawns, we both engage, the other person I'm battling calls for help, said help shows up just as the fights finishing, and one of the idiots that showed up with 10 percent left with no clue of what just happened say I'm a kser when I end up getting the kill? Yes, rogueDAidiot did this very thing.

And if I'm in Stonevale or OW killing a mini boss, anybody sending invites saying they need for quest better not have 6 other people already grouped with them. I've stopped grouping people and trying to help specifically for this. I'm doing you a favor and probably most the work and I'm not grouping anyone that sends a request when the mobs half dead by me and or you've done nothing to deserve a grouping.

A genuine KS is if you're 10 percent or more into a mob or boss (and you have a legit shot at killing said mob or boss) and another group comes along and takes the kill from you. If you're one, two, or even a few hits in depending on the boss, it's still anyones for the taking at that point. If you're standing there at a boss, even with a full party, but haven't engaged? Still anyones for the taking. If you see another party showing up at a boss you've been waiting at and you're still waiting on your party to come, and you start attacking even though your whole party hasn't come, just because this other party is about to engage, guess what. It's not a ks if you lose because your party showed up late to help. You got beat to the punch. I honestly think this is where people complain about ksing on Morrigan when it's not a KS. If you're waiting at woodcrown, waiting for your clan to show up, another clan starts showing up and looks ready to engage and so you start hitting when you know you have no chance til the rest of your group or clan shows up? You starting to hit doesn't make that your kill, it's not your kill. Not a ks if the other party kills at that point. You got beat, move on. It happens to everyone, you're at a boss and your party doesn't show up til another party comes and starts already. Happens to everyone, just not everyone complains after it happens.

I feel i kinda need to weigh in on this.

To me, personally, a ks falls into multiple groups and circumstances. There is in some ways and isnt a set definition. There is a lot of grey area that cant really be addressed and more falls into the azzhat or doosh move realm.

For me, i define a ks as when fighting a mob, or a boss, as someone or someones group who jumps in to try kill said target faster than me while i have agro. I dont usually attribute this to someone lower level than me, since it is kind of well, most of the times futile.

There have been times ive been soloing a mob or a boss and had well, i hate to point fingers, golg members and groups jump in and try burn it down. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they dont. This is a ks. Youre over leveling me and in a group. Pike off. I dont care that you can kill it faster, i dont care that there are four of you, ive solod it almost to the halfway point and you jump in to try steal while i have agro. This is a ks

If im racing to a mob against another guy, we get there together, and race eachother forn the win. This is not a ks. This is competition. Me vs them. You could take skirmisher, sashmen, ternstones as an example. Everyones gunning for them. Generaly, i, personally will walk away on those. Thats me. Not everyone. A personal decision. Im a nice guy most of the time.

If im fighting a mob and someone jumps in who is higher level claiming to be helping, i generally say stop. If the attack continues i assume you want me to do the tanking while you get the kill. This is a ks to me. (im human, i dont always see the heal or buff or whatever you threw me first). I say stop, back off, stop. Throw a reply "want help?" most people, myself included will reply yes or no.

Ive been accused of ksing also. Its not intentional. In fact. I made a good friend of it. Sometimes we see things from an distance. In this case i saw a high powered mob engaging said player, ran over and pulled it off them, because they were already in a fight. They turned and aided me. Once we got talking. It was a matter of oh inthiught you needed help, no i grabbed so u didnt splat, oh i was helping so u didnt splat.

Grey area.

Bottom line. Dont be a doosh. Swallow your pride. Fight well. Ks doesnt happen.

To consider everything free for all (ffa). If this is the case, ill be more than happy to oblidge that with your groups. (its coming. Trust me on that)

As well, 9 times out of 10 when i say "stop" most will. Most are good people and will.

Id say as a tip to spread on new or gung ho people, throw a heal or peel an undamaged mob off the guy. Most of the ks complaints come from mobs. Not bosses. Pull something not already under attack, throw a bandage or fire cloak or heal or a stun. Dont just start wailing on it, that seems to be the general ks concern.

Yes I agree with (this) and pigmans logic completely (not quoted but look at his first post on this topic xD). There isnt really any other way to put it.
