How did this topic get derailed so quickly? I'm auctioning off items to help my friends who were scammed. Not to pass blame and point fingers.

The second topic on the Morrigan page is titled, "don't give out you items and you will never be scammed". So ya if you think about it that way, it is their own fault. They put items in the trade window.

The thing is, they thought they were helping me. These are two nice people who thought they could trust me enough to lend gear to. There was a scammer on the other side manipulating them, preying off their good intentions and generosity. Now they are out lux and I intend to help them. I don't care if my items sell for next to nothing, any bit will help.

I go with Wulf...I was also badly scammed in early days of game. Yes, players need to be cautious when trading, but scammers think up more and more cunning ways to rob us (the latest being this one Blue has alerted us all to, of someone using her player name to steal). So to dismiss anyone who is scammed as being 'stupid' is in effect supporting the scammer!

And I agree with the reply which says it is good that more of us talk about this issue on forum, cos the more we expose and screen shot these things, the more chance there is of Support maybe catching at least some of these thieves and banning them.

last but not least, I am MODELLING (lol), one of Blue's auction items (Turquoise Hunter) and if she permits I will continue wearing it until the end of the auction. I think I look bloody irresistible in it (I wish!), and here and now put in a bid of 10k for it. I would offer more but at present my gold is just over 30k and I need training lixs again. If I can farm more gold I will put in a higher bid.

When are they going to bring out a Stetson fashion item.....in the UK my generation grew up on cowboy movies...I want a cowboy hat to wear in game!
