I was wondering how to get a black hat people have told me u get them from the mobs with black hats as a drop but I've killed like 300 of the black hat mobs and I've never got a black hat as a drop so I'd like to know if u do get the black hat as a drop or do u get it some other way

from the mobs, the odds are about 1/500 in getting one

Based on the cakes in my inventory (and the lack of a black hat)..... my personal odds appear to be less than 1:800.
