It is some horrible, bleary, not-yet-coffee-infused hour of the morning here in western Canada. Sitting here clutching my poor, lonely, unaccompanied coffee reading nearly pornographic descriptions of warm, buttery scones in a faraway land. Hmmmph

Warsong is a warrior.
But since this topic is titled Cruelty, and I just talked about Songz, it means Morgana will lock this thread.

Oh yes ladies, how delighted I am at your interest in culinary delights :-). Hmmmm.....I think we would all have a great time, and much laughter, as we cooked together. And now Blue saying she is going to join. A kitchen full of young ladies and myself the only male.....I am off to buy my plane ticket (lol).
Have you ever tried pears, soaked in sweet wine? You then reduce the wine (simmer with a little brown sugar) and it turns into a luscious, soft, sweet, shiny sauce. You serve with fresh double cream. It is certainly a dish to consider when one is courting (or Valentine's Day or a wedding anniversary). You ask your beloved to close their eyes and open their mouth and you gently feed them this exquisite dessert. Ladies are particularly fond of this as they often have a great passion for desserts.
I see my post declaring my love of pansies (as in the 'flower'), has been removed. Perhaps there are rules now on what flowers we are allowed to name in forum posts?

You are in, Blue! You've fulfilled the criteria of general awesomeness and you are beautiful to boot
As for the various househusband positions, entry requirements vary -- we are currently recruiting for a laundry slave; must be willing to hand wash lacy delicates. Pay is terrible but the fringe benefits are excellent.
And, ahh, thx for the correction Ail. That's how long its been since I've seen that toon
Ack, more food seduction from Zapper...my packed lunch is looking sadder by the second.
I haven't done pears in wine - both the dessert itself and the method of serving sounds lovely. You are hired!
I do love to cook (especially to bake) and recently made a wonderful feast in celebration of equinox -- fresh seasonal foods with a centerpiece of hyacinth and pansies and beautiful green moss. My 9 yo son particularly enjoyed purple and yellow viola blooms scattered in the salad (surprisingly he loved the cream of watercress soup too). Pansies are one of my favorites too -- my wedding cake was decorated with fresh pansies and pansies in hand painted flowerpots were the centerpieces.
