Rhiannon World FFA guidelines

There has been a lot of talk lately about KSing bosses. Some clan leaders have announced all out war and has instructed every member to KS the other clan all the time. Greed keeps coming up in discussions and the game is losing some of the fun. Honestly there are only a few toons that have made a few mistakes and now everyone is upset. As a world we should come together and set some guidelines and work together to make this game more fun.

If only Fal would drop more drags...

I asked our clan what are the Free For All (FFA) rules
I kind of got the following and this is open to discussion.
I would like to see comments and a good guideline develop from this.
Please contribute....

BOSS FIGHT RULES

Druid - Fal, Brut, V, M are always FFA

6* Bosses:
If two clans are present each should announce their intentions before the first hit.
Once a fight starts and no announcement is made and the second clan engages, it is now a KS.
Communication before the first hit is key and can resolve a lot of after fight issues.

A good example is two clans waiting for Root or Belly. A simple: "Hey we plan to engage, FFA?" this would go a long way in clan relationships.

5* Bosses:
At least two clan members must be present to announce a FFA before the first hit.
This way it will be in chat for a clear record.

Hey FFA?
Boss casts......,
(this is a FFA)

Boss casts.....,
Hey, FFA, second clan engages
(this is a KS)

The only time i see this not working is when a clan is forming a group and an opposing clan member sneaks in and hits first before anyone notices. This is important because we are seeing more and more toons solo high level bosses. To do this you have to use a lot of pots, except if your a Druid :) so setting guidelines is important to the cash flow.

So, if a clan has 4 or more members present before a spawn or hit it is always should be considered as an engagement. Solo stealing a boss is just greedy. If I have four clan members standing next to a boss and a level 90 toon comes in all potted up and steals boss, well expect us to call FFA. Solo stealing a boss in front of a formed group is the ultimate greed. So you best ask first or expect a FFA.

In a perfect world where everyone wins is more or less a noob statement.

Friendly competition and rivalry between clans is fun. I think it makes the game more interesting and fun. Trying to out DPS another clan is always going to have winners and losers, get over it, it is a game!

Laugh a little and don't take a loss of a boss fight so seriously. Noob clan members will be doing stupid things, it happens, we all have made mistakes. Each clan needs to work with those members and help bring about "world peace". Other clans need to have patience and understanding and not brand a clan over a few isolated instances.

All in all, i generally believe that the first group to attack should get it. If two clans are forming groups then stating in chat your intensions is appropriate. Some people don't like this because they get greedy and want all the drops. when people set up a ks when they have all the items already, that's just greedy, and those people lose a lot of respect.

Every clan thinks they are the best. Whether it is because we been around since Adam and EVE or we demand RESPECT, or we are just SINNERS, or you never get INVITE'ed. I hope we can all just get along...

Now let's kick some....

what about the '5 second rule' where if another clan attacks within 5 seconds it is ffa?

I like this, alot, but u forgot to put RaptureEve into the puns at the end
I think alot of people will agree, and alot will absolutley say "NO" :P
But I say yes
If a clan starts the boss, they get it
but if 2 groups of peeps r there then they can anounce an ffa
and if its a 4 or > then the first group that gets there gets it, unless druid of course
again, great guide
admin should make this a light bulb ;)

Perfectly put perl! If everyone just took a second to step back and figure out what's going on, alot of the confusion would be gone. Definitely make yourself know at all boss fights and call Ffa before the start if more then one clan is waiting.

Agree 100% with all of this :D

First of all, this is a great guide and will go a long way to avod unnecessary conflicts.
I'm not sure that i agree with the 5 second rule. Because of how long it takes to take down 6* and red bosses, i think it should be more like 30 seconds. So if more than one clan attacks within 30 seconds i think it should be FFA.

These rules are retarded...

ES - does this sound familiar?
"Hey druid is due, everyone log on your rogue so we have a shot at KSing the other clan who's actually tanking and doing work"

Glad to get all the positive feedback here and in game.

I think the 5 second rule really would not work. As stated, typing "FFA?" takes 5 seconds and goes a long ways with communication between clans.

As show here and in game there is a lot of personalities in this game.
For some is seems to be better to just be upset all the time, complain, cry, yell, scream.
Honestly outside of bringing a little drama and comic relief this really is not productive.
It is far better to work together and come up with a set of guidelines that works for most.

Good Luck, say hi in game sometime.
