Ok Thoro, i am trying to come up with a coherent response.
first, let's distinguish between quest items and rare/powerful items (like radiant bp)
Rare/powerful items:
there is no regular pricing for this. all depends on how much someone wants it. A royal natures touch ring you may be able to sell for a lot, or you may just want to get rid of it since you cant use it. Further, you might sell it cheap to a druid you group with since it will ultimately benefit you when he heals you. As for Radiant BP. if you want to keep it, then keep it. Don't feel pressured to let someone else use it or to even sell it cheap. you are entitled to make your character powerful too. You got lucky, and that is allowed. I would get it back if i were you. Don't let someone bully you.
Quest Items:
Many of these are hard to get, so it is ok to sell them to clan members. People who get minds and spaces have likely put in some good camping time, or at least making time to check on the bosses regularly. They have spend on idols in the fights too. Aniunderking posted a good set of in-clan out-clan pricing to act as a guideline.
As for selling out of clan, sure anything goes. I tend to sell cheap (like clan price or better) to my out of clan friends. I often get things very reasonably priced from these same people. When someone tries to sell something for too high a price, I just tell them no thank you, that i only have $xxx to spend on it, and if they don't want that (or some other trade) that i will just wait and get it the old fashioned way (i.e. camping and killing the boss).
For items you really have a tough time getting and there is no reliable source (like an iron goblet) - well anything goes for that.
As for item hogging: i guess i am guilty of that. I keep lots of strange objects in my bank - and often times they come in useful. A spare fairy diamond may help me in a trade for a ring i really want. Or for an alt i start up. I will generally sell most spare rems and tabs i get for good prices - but i tend to hold onto the harder to get stuff. Maybe its greedy, maybe its wise - but i killed the boss and deserve to keep something if i think it might benefit me in the future.
I guess the one major benefit of being in a clan like Ancients, is that if you need something, there is almost always a group ready to help you kill the boss that drops it (giving you a chance at the drop). Unfortunately, it can take a while if you don't want to spend too much money on drops. Especially for warriors (rangers and mages get stuff cheap :-) )
