Is it time for another vote?

#1
there have been many discussions about DL drops and dicing with people who are outfitted. One great thing about our server is that we are willing to look at the rules and modify them as needed. So, as i see it: our viable options are:

option 1: Once you are fully DL, you do not dice
option 2: Once you are fully DL, you can only dice to pay someone back (use forums to post who you owe - and keep it updated) - this is the current rule but is reliant on the honor system. it has also been the cause of some issues of late and the reason why we are revisiting.
Option 3: You can always dice for you color, regardless. This takes away any 'cheating'.

I would also like to create The Great Lughian Accord:
Dragonlord Quest Items are only to be given freely, loaned, or traded for equivalent DL stuff (yellow urn for red urn for example). Not sold. They are solely for helping each other out.
This accord would be valid until Halloween, when we can revisit it and renew it :D

If you have another viable option, please list it.

thanks

I vote for OPTION 3

I also sign onto the LUGHIAN ACCORD
I agree with 3 as the only sensible way to go the way things are right now.

I also sign onto the LUGHIAN ACCORD.

Can we add grand shards to the Accord too? (only half jk)

Hey all,

as I returned last week from several months off time I am not that deep into all the politics about the DL drops.
There are some questions popping up for me concerning Opt3.

A fully geared toon with no more debts is still allowed to roll would mean:
1 all others behind him have a lesser chance to win a required drop
2 due to the fact that he doesn't need the drop he would collect it for clan members / friends who didn't even show up at the fight (also unfair for those who participated)
3 the fully geared toon got there with the help of all others and will now benefit even more with receiving even more drops he obviously doesn't need (in the worst case storing them to sell them as soon as lough decides they can be sold)

Just some thoughts. Please correct me if I got something wrong on this.
Thanks and tc.

And yes, of course I also sign onto the LUGHIAN ACCORD.

you are absolutely right ja. the current rules have it that people cannot dice once they have paid off the debts. The problem is that there is suspicion that some people are saying they have debts, but are not paying anyone back. obviously this rule is highly dependent on the honor system - and that is why we are having controversy now.

my thought was that by allowing them to dice for their color, regardless of need, we acknowledge their costs in fighting these sometimes costly battles and we remove the idea that someone is breaking the rules (there may still be resentment, but that will never go away). Then combined with the ACCORD, we know that people will not be hoarding and selling - someone will benefit.

Not a perfect system certainly, but the goal is to keep getting better. No human endeavor will be perfect.

@thoro:

Option 3 would allow you to dice your color even if you no longer need. mostly as a way to eliminate the honor system which many are questioning (and which is virtually unenforceable).

there are two other options of course. All of them are viable.

Does that answer your question?

Option 3 with variable colors established before end of fight. If I'm full purple n fighting for purpose of clan/friend I would say before fight what color I would like to roll. Then again I'm a chieftain and take it as my responsibility to continue to help even after full.

Yes to accord.
