Re: Is it time for another vote?

Option 3 is the better option of the 3 because people will lie about option 2, and not many will want to help fights or loan people stuff with option 1.

Basically option 2 is option 3 with lying involved, and option 1 is just bad.

well, i guess i will say this:

as you have pointed out, option 3 is option 2 without lying. That is why i suggested it. Here is one cool benefit of option 3 that i think we are already seeing:

Using option 3 creates new friendships and supports within your class. OTM doesn't have a 'guild' concept (like a clan, but only rogues for example) - but option 3 kinda creates that kind of scenario. The High Level Rogues of Lugh will, by getting extra drops, decide which is the next rogue to get outfitted. This may be formal or informal.

I know that there are about 6 high level rangers, and i have gotten to know them because of the DL stuff - it is kinda cool. I see the same thing happening with mages.

So, while i initially voted option 3 just to avoid issues of honor - i now vote option 3 because i think it can foster a new layer of cooperation with in the classes. Of course, that assumes the ACCORD and no selling.

lets keep the discussion going, it is a good healthy one. I know some people would rather avoid it - but the fact is, we fight bosses and we would like consensus on how to distribute drops. As i have said before, regardless of the outcome, we are far better than we were in the bad old days of purchasing frozen.

thanks again all

I guess I vote for option 3. In response to Angusog's concern, I personally will do everything I can to make sure a mage at the fight who needs an item gets it. (Might involve passing or rolling a higher number so that I can give the item to that player.)

I am quite pleased to see so many people agreeing not to sell dl drops! Some of you may know how strongly I feel about this issue. ;) I would like to make a related point. I extrapolate the spirit of the ACCORD beyond just not selling drops to not pressuring other people to sell them to you. Other players might not be on the forums or know about the ACCORD, and might feel compelled or interested in selling. Trading dl drops is, in my view, perfectly fine.
