Summary:
The rules stay the same.
We can still make things better.
The rules as they are:
All players must be the apropriate lvl to dice for dl drops (no more than 10 lvls below boss, exceptions for druid healers).
Option 3: All players can dice for their class drops. Regardless of if they need.
One dl drop per player, per boss (exeptions made if they were the only player of that class at fight).
No buying/selling of dl drops.
Simple.
The problem:
Too many people show up fight after fight, without getting the drops they need.
Doesn't matter if you have a full set and are working on that last crown for weapon, or if you need 2 idols and 1 urn for legs.
You show up fight after fight, and still don't win what you need.
We have all been/are/will be in that situation, every one of us involved here.
The idea:
Lets focus on helping everyone there for the fight, regardless of what they need.
No one is forced to do anything.
Be it passing on a crown for someone close to weapon, or passing on an egg for someone close to gloves.
Not another rule, that we have to follow, but an open agreement.
We have a choice, and can make this better for all of us.
A Simple Solution until Halloween:
The rules stay the same.
They are fair, everyone meeting lvl req has the right to roll for their class.
If you don't Need a drop and someone at the fight still Needs, don't roll for it.
Pass on roll. Pass to the player At That Fight who still needs that drop.
If you are a long way from getting weapon, pass on roll to the player who Needs more at that time.
Of course not everyone will do this.
What about the people who do?
They will get their armor or their weapon faster, because we help whoever is at that fight.
How to put it into practice:
Vote +1 if you're willing to pass on drops that you no longer need, if someone at that fight still needs.
Vote +1 if you're willing to pass on crowns to someone who passes on everything else you need.
This doesn't have to be a server wide agreement.
Only between those who want to do this.
Simple.

#5Hello Angus,
Thank you for your post.
I think those reasonable already do that and those "careful" won't do that anyway.
So YES +1 but I am afraid this is only another talk about the obvious with a little impact to players conscience.
Keep the spirit anyway. :-)

#6+1 yes!
Let's hope that we all get more relaxed with all the dl fuss and panic, and decide to help each other more often. It's surprising that sometimes full dl people don't pass not even on gems. If only we decided after ever fight, how to divide drops, take every case alone, without having to hoard items, while some of us who were fighting in group just have too many missing dl items. Not all full dl owe the items they are winning. and each full dl has a favorite person he's giving the drops too, or just accumulating them in his bank. The best thing after every fight is to ask the winning class, what drops they still need, and divide accordingly. It is more priority to give the drop to the person who was present there during the fight, than to give to someone who was absent.
As for crowns, If I reach level 190 soon and decide to get weapon before getting full dl, I should have the right to do so, since the quest gives me that right.
It would be ridiculous to have a level 175 dice for crown while i'm higher level and I'm not allowed to.
But yes, we might be willing to let go of crowns, only if full dl are willing to let go of dicing. otherwise, not really on the table.
Good luck to all.
