if we are trying anything soon, i dont think we have enough ppl over 175. certainly once we have some more ppl there, we will adjust to 175.

what do the rest of you think.

certainly we can use support mages under 175.

Not from this world so disregard my opinion if you wish. His lowest level drop is 175 isnt it? So that should be dice req. no point in giving a 170 something they can't use

Only thing i have to say is regarding pigs statement. We use drops as incentive to level, agreed dicing req is usually the lowest drop but i think 5 levels different doesnt make much difference. Being a fairly small server basically having the same group killing the bosses currently, i believe it would be wise to allow the lower players to get something for contributing.

That being said i am lower than most due to my break but i expect no special treatment regarding drops and what not, but i am always around to help.

I had a mage-related thought, but haven't had those discussions with other worlds, so thought I should check it here.

We have three high-lvl mages. What about having two of us go full dps and one full support? We're gonna need someone with boost to keep the mages' and druids' energy up. Mage dps spells suck a lot of energy--more than even a heroic regen lix can keep up with I think. And if all mages take pierce and magic to max, that lowers their dps capability. Remember that they will still need fire and ice lures, probably at max. With 4 lures at max, that leaves one other spell to max, so it doesn't look doable to me. Alternatively, I guess we could go all fire, which gives one more spell--bolt and storm would be the only options (leaving no space for fire attunement). Let me know if I've missed something though.

And fwiw, I'm happy to alt either way specifically for this fight.

@longcool, dunno but a heroic elix makes me drop Eboost more and more when i use it haha:)
Yes,we have 3 high leveled mages but who wants to be full support? I mean its sort of boring to cast a lure/boost every 35secs and just sit back and watch all things happening..

As I said, I will. I like being support--people need me.

And, about Thoro's shield bash idea...a little birdie reminded me that mages have freeze, which does almost the same thing. I haven't used it except in beta, where it was essential for a full icemage build. Might be worth some consideration.

lc this is a good point and definitely worth a try in our test. We need to explore all ranged weapons too.

however, none of the other servers that i have talked to used it so idk.

Freeze breaks when the mob thats froze gets attacked or hit by an offensive spell so doesn't work as well but... Depending on cast time of freeze it could be useful as an interrupt to one of his abilities. Mainly the 50k heal.
