@xyn
there is no frustration with me for anything in this game. if i see a bad deal i simply walk away, or i'll try to bargain. if it doesnt work there is always someone else willing to sell. i am not putting up these posts because i am frustrated for not getting a deal, but because i want to make everyone aware that sometimes other players will significantly jack up the price of an item thats going rate is worth much less. lets look at some examples from a few days ago:
drag frag
someone has a drag and is selling for 35k when normal price is 20k. some people will be desparate to buy because they need it. Skip it , wait to buy one for 20k . just be patient.
full connacht vanquisher
person who is selling wants 1.4 million. this set is extremely rare and is only worth what someone is willing to pay, the stats on the armor are terrible. despite its rarity, i would skip this item. reason being is you would have a tough time turning a profit or breaking even on the item.
so what we have learned is that items such as fragments, plat items, and rings have a fixed value in the economy. Do these things sell for more or less than set rate? Absolutely. if someone is selling a frag for more than its rate , then should you pay that amount? Absolutely not, shop around! Now with event items its a bit different. Event items to some degree have a going rate. you can get ripped off on event items if you pay too much. its hard to explain but you basically have to use your own judgment on these. base your reasoning off of availability of the item in question, demand, stats, sparkly/non if fashion, color, comparison to similar item in shop, etc. lots of factors will weigh in here. you should always check with your friends on the value of an item before purchasing it. Never trust the person you are trading for information.
to further your statement about people paying more money if they really want or need something, absolutely i agree 100% with you. both parties agree with the trade, but this doesnt mean the buyer wasnt ripped off.
so in conclusion we can now consider this a merching guide

. haha but in all seriousness i just want people to be aware and to be patient. you dont have to make money on all your deals but you should at least try to break even, ie pay normal price. Take care!
