Re: Warriors: can we equip at least on yet?

Dear people of Lugh, hi! :)

ahem... right.

In terms of dps, DL weapons absolutely ruin anc. wyrmbone. They are stronger and much much faster. And for rangers who are constantly autoing mains, their input with divine strike is ESSENTIAL for that damage boost. Landing several hundred hits per boss fight at 5% chance is much more than 5 strikes per fight.

Ciao.

A friend of mine counted the total procs his dagger did at Hrungnir, 7. Let me point out this is a dl 1850? speed dagger with a heroic haste, and on the boss the whole fight.

Obviously very essential.

Last time i checked, any rogue using anything that isn't a spear (to stay out of reach) got absolutely pummeled by Hrungnir. Obviously, not every fight will cater for one fighting style.

My main point actually was the added dps though. You said DL weapons aren't much better than wyrmbone? Ok.

Ancient Wyrmbone Dagger
piercing: 106
speed: 2450ish?

Dragonlord Dagger
piercing: 110
speed: 1850

Now... extra 6 pierce per hit, with each hit being over half a second faster... Anyone with a DL dagger (or any melee class, really) can tell you how much of a considerable difference the DL weapon makes.

I'm really not trying to fight you here, I'm trying to help you. Believe me when I say that DL weapons are really really helpful. Yes, chest armour is super important if you are completing someone's DL armour set, but the weapons really take the cake when trying to beat rage timers. No amount of armour can withstand a raged DL boss.

I do agree completely. I believe Lugh will stand far better chances on mordris if equipping as many players as possible with dl wep is prioritised over equipping dl shields on the top players who have everything else. The Dl shield is a useful armour boost from lvl 150 lux shield but the difference is not much compared to the raise in total damage form many dl weps. The Warrior dl wep gives 20 more slash damage (translates to approx 140+ damage increase) at significantly increased speed compared to ancient wyrmbone blade, and 50 slash (350+ increased damage) increase from frozen sword, also at faster hits. In addition you have a 1000 divine damage bonus every 20 hits or so.

1. Rogue dl wep vs anc wyrm
Once you're on heroic haste, the difference of "over half a second" drops to closer to a fourth of a second.
Also, dl dagger loses attack and damage compared to anc wyrm, as it lacks the 500 ability, but does have 350 attack.
So once on heroic haste the only things going for it are the proc, and the tiny bit of speed. Yes, dl is better. By no means does it blow anc wyrm out of the water.
2. That mage proc is off of wand that I bet is not maxed, and even at max he'd have low attack. Five times is pretty good for a mage proc in a fight I'd say.
3. Offhands don't make a whole lot of sense for the majority, but don't druids get a chaos ward that affects everyone near them, not just group? Seems useful af to me. Mages have an aoe dmg spell but wep not that important anyways. Warriors good for a tank or two because of the cloak effect, beyond that it doesn't make sense at all. Rangers . . . I don't know the skill they get, admittedly. However, since someone just stated the mainhand for rangers are a massive upgrade, based on that alone I'd say offhand should definitely not be a priority. Rogues, the dot is good for sure, but it seems to me that the mainhand/bp (potentially last of set) it is sorta replacing would be way more useful. Not to mention the loss of regen. And even then, only one or two rogues per boss should use, more than that seems redundant, since the dot doesn't stack.
Just thought I'd join in the conversation. :D
By the way this was typed on my phone and I cba to correct anything I may have mis-worded etc., so I apologize for that ahead of time.

i think the ranger offhand will add good amount of damage just from the dmg stat. I assume it will have a skill for more dmg, plus some divine dmg and a stat bump (which will help all our skills presumably).

so it seems, that for rangers, the offhand will be quite needed - especially since we have a chance, or not dying every second if we can stay out of mordris range.
