From my perspective, we lost Mordy when calla dropped off. Callu took over but the time lag, she moved. After Callator logged back on, it was asked for all to stop attacking Mordris so Calla could move her back. Some stopped, but not all, keeping her next to the priestess.
As we all can see, it is important that they be separated, and that we be prepared.
PPL stepping up and helping with add location and other things like STOP AOE were very helpful.
Original plan calls for 4 groups, we added more to allow 180-184. I agree that maybe 5 groups max.
As far as entangle casting goes, all need it at same level i.e. 37, original plan calls for a ranger in each group. 20% of Mordris attack being 30% slowed makes a difference.
I agree that priestess needs to be farther away, as I recommend opposite corners like a boxing ring but NOT where the sent respawns. Would love to get some mages together and test best spot while mordy is away licking her wounds. Mages have the best perspective on this. Please pin down where she needs to be.
I am so gratefull to all who have helped contribute to the planning and testing of this strategy. Every job is important.
As far as the wyrms getting to druids, I think that they may have been attracted by spectators (first battle 0 got to us), or by group on Mordy then we attracted them. I have tested casting where we stand and no wyrms were attracted.
We need someone to Coordinate the next Battle. Any volunteers?
Re: Summary 2.0
#12One other thing, if you are not in a grp with assigned duty, please stay out of way. You can easily interfere with targeting. If you are not one if the 40 ppl in the 5 grps, you are likely too low or unequipped to do much dmg to mordy, so, if u want to help, kill the normal adds in the area.
Trust me, ppl who are helpful will be remembered when they level up. Ppl who are annoying will also be remembered when we are choosing the 4-5 grps. My guess is we will use 5 grps for a while, then, eventually, go down to 4.

Re: Summary 2.0
#13Entangle: Spoke to Roger and we thought it would be best used on Priestess and if Mordy rages. It misses a lot and he loses dps time trying to cast. With Callators health in good shape, it shouldn't be necessary. Rangers not in Group 5 should only use Sharpen Weapons then max dps.
Perhaps add Entangle to group 5 for debuff?
I dont mind running the fight. Nor do you probably Randall but I think we both agree, its good to get some respected high levels involved. Callumallen said he will do the 4th one.

#15Hmm...
By limiting the number to 5 groups people will be excluded from the fight even though meeting all current reqs.
Groups 1-3 are probably more or less pre-defined as to who are legible group members.
Then how and when will groups 4-5 form if there is a strict limitation to 5 groups?

Re: Summary 2.0
#16The last group will contain the highest lvl people with dps skills more than likely. I would say its up to the Battle Gen to decide who will be most beneficial. In the short term, the small number of groups are for strategic purposes only and not to leave people out. In the long term, i think more people need to comprehend the importance of the plan and how to execute. The 6th group didnt benefit us last fight. If you read both fight summaries, you will see where the fight almost gets lost and becomes a disaster. I know more people are 'technically' qualified. If anyone thinks Mordris is easier than we do, then by all means get your own groups together and kill her on next respawn. She sat till Saturday for a reason.
Personally, from the drops Ive seen so far, my guess is that I would most likely use 3-4 items (helm, braces, maybe a weapon? Maybe a ring or 2?) should I get lucky enough to acquire these I wont have a problem helping from outside and giving others a chance. That is strictly my opinion and not any sort of rule. I'm really looking forward to killing the Necro.

Re: Summary 2.0
#17i dont want mordy turning into aggy - where a million people show up. i think 40 people is more than enough.
the tank, dps, and mage group are fairly well defined. there is another group i am less familiar with. grp 5, will be adds.
priority (and i mean melee classes) is based on level and DL gearing. Anyone with DL offhand is highly desired because of dps. Full dl armor is highly desired because of dps and protection (you will spend far less time dead and on timer). 185+ is desired for the actual dmg done.
while on the one hand i would hate to exclude people, on the other, there is a limit - which for me is 40 people. i believe we can create a fair way to rotate out some people so others get a chance. the first thought that comes to mind is a someone (melee - we dont have excess of casters) who is 180-185 and wins a drop would give up their spot to someone who hasnt had a chance yet. that is something we will have to sort out.
my guess is the 4 main groups will have very little fluxuation (1-2 spots) but grp 5 can be something that rotates among the 'lower' levels and less DL equipped. At some point, we will have over 40 lvl 190 people with dl and will have to create a better system.

Re: Summary 2.0
#18When u say it like that, '40 people' that is a lot of people. Adds some perspective. 5 Groups is absolutely plenty enough.
