Re: Mordris helm rule - Forum voters

I find it interesting that in the end only 6 people couldn't make it to wechat to cast a vote (a few of whom actually have and use the app). Or i guess 6 people not on wechat cared enough to vote. I think in the end there were roughly 50 votes from lvl 185+ players.. Just sayin

If not everyone can see it you can't call it a vote. Again, you cannot pick and choose who votes. Everyone has the right to see whats going on, as this is a free world. No one should withhold information from anyone.

On the topic of voting, there was never a wechat vote for the forums to decide. It was also a completely biased vote being on wechat, because of course people who already went through the hassle of getting it would of course vote for it. And with that vote forum users were left out. It's like hosting an election but only letting one side vote....

You chose not to download wechat. That is like saying, I don't want to vote for the presidential election because the booths they use are electronic rather than paper votes. It is not your decision on the platform we use to vote. You are capable of downloading wechat and casting your vote, you just choose not to.

As axon said, we had over 50 votes on wechat. The 3-5 people who chose not to vote because they did not want to take a moment to install wechat represent 5-10% of that vote population. When 90% are in favor of an idea, why cant you adapt?

I tried to follow the vote on WeChat but it was a mess. It appeared to me that the majority supported keeping the current system rather than change the rules for dicing Mordris helms.

As for voting on the forum vs. WeChat, there was some discussion on this topic here http://www.celtic-heroes.com/forum/view ... 22&t=73735 In this discussion there was clear support for continuing to vote on the forum. In the interest of transparency, I strongly supporting holding votes on the forum.

Problem with keeping votes on forums is that ppl that no longer play CH are putting in their opinions to keep the rules they chose for us. Even in all governments rules are adapted and changed to better the lives of their population, in this case better the play for those of us who still play and still care. Also as I have seen we have a few people who attack or belittle people for their opinions on change for us all. I for one do not post often due to this reason, while even on wechat there are chances for this behavior to happen it is coming from people who play are also care about what happens on our server, and not from people who do not play anymore or who do nothing to help us all grow.

there are some pretty smart players out there who no longer play and can add input. so many people quit that have a lot of experience with this game. more so than some of the current players. they too can provide feedback. this is where the forums shine. easy to access and a wealth of information.

I happen to agree there are older players that could help but the ones that attack forces us to keep our opinions to ourselves, therefore we are not able to take in all players opinion to help our server grow and thrive

If you are receiving personal attacks on the forum you can contact a moderator and he or she can put a stop to unacceptable behavior.

If you mean your idea is being challenged by a different point of view- that isn’t an attack but a sign of a healthy debate. We can’t select who can participate in a discussion based on the probability that they will agree with our position.

If someone clearly states that they have quit the game, I can see excluding their votes but not their input. However, we would need clear proof that the person doesn’t play anymore to exclude a vote. Since we don’t have access to OTM’s logs, we would have to rely on self reporting.
