I agree with banning from arena activity and also make them kill on sight?

I agree with roger about banning for arena activity. However, i think it sets a bad example when we tolerate verbal abuse as a community. The 'rules of lugh' have become so liberal that you can conduct yourself in a completely antisocial manner with no consequences. As long as you didn't sell DL or get caught scamming you are given the same privileges as the most upstanding citizens. Personally, I'm not even against selling DL but i'm disgusted with what i have seen lately out of the players you are speaking of. To me this behavior is worse than selling a quest item.

You raise a good point about verbal abuse. My initial thought was blocking would solve this but it doesn't help the bystanders who have to hear it. I suspect the constant verbal abuse between these players also led to the lack of support when they violate our usual arena etiquette. It is difficult to tell who is in the right (if anyone) under these circumstances so most choose to stay out of it.

Is there something else we can do besides just blocking? These two were talking explicitly in the arena how they share the same girl in bed...it was plain disgusting!

To be clear, I am not advocating a boss ban for bad arena behavior. This should be dealt with in the arena.

I wasn't aware of the things Reych was describing. I think that is worth contacting support when it happens. I mean everyone in the area should post a complaint, not just one person. Support can review the logs and deal with the players involved. I know of one player who received a temporary ban from the game for similar behavior.

I went clanless on Epona to escape political drama and all my friends never helped because they didn't want to "deal" with drama, or the clan leader didn't "want" anymore drama so he wouldn't fix the drama...

Are we running out if things to do so much that we need this topic? Theres a crazy drunk guy who shows up and attacks people. Hes been doing it for a year and never gets banned. Hes vulgar and whispers ppl. You know who i mean. Theres no topic on him. These 2 jokers are known and get dealt with. If you dont have the support to get your daily then leave the arena i guess. I'm not defending their actions but it is the ARENA. OTM can handle verbal abuse and such but they wont touch the behavior. Its up to us as a server to set it straight. I personally have not been attacked and i kinda ignore it. If i see someone i know being attacked i will help. I'm sure that goes for everyone. Honestly, i think it adds a new element to the game which has dulled out severely. A little risk in the arena isnt such a bad thing. You can block or report the language if its offensive. Other than that... Enjoy it! Go in and take a risk!

I agree that killing people waiting for a gladiator is something we can deal with by killing anyone engaging in this behavior. Easy peasy.
