Helicopter, why in the work would u pay him more money? What these players are doing is basically a scam too. Pressuring someone to give away profit then ask for full repayment and to bear the player who purchased. It's wrong. Wouldnt get 1 single gold piece from me
Because Gin made a mistake and got it stolen, I would have attempted to get it back for him if I could. I wasn't online and in a roundabout way, Azz got it back. I'm just going to lessen the hit he took.
No issue against elixir. Person specifically. I know things that were said and how it was attempted to be sold. Enough for me plus previous rep... Final. If he wasnt called out he wouldnt have given back or attempted reparations. If I rob a bank then give money back im not innocent all of a sudden. I know its a game but with that myself and others have a choice not to deal with such persons. Choice has been made.
The person did not rob the bank. He merely bought what was stolen from the bank.
If someone loses their iPod, they often put word out about it being stolen, and offer a cash reward. If someone had bought the stolen iPod, they are not expected to freely give it back and take the loss. They are compensated at least to some extent.
Being forced to give an item that was paid for is not right, whether or not the item was stolen.

I also do not claim to know any particulars about any buying/selling, but I do know that Gin ended up with it and no profit was made. Because no profit was made, it's as if Azz purchased the charm directly from the scammer, it truly is the same. If you expect Azz to be fully reimbursed by who he bought it from, you should be expecting Azz not to be paid at all by those wishing to lessen the hit he took. In the end, Azz purchased the stolen camo and gave it back to the original owner. *Blank* is not required to pay Azz in full any more than I am. Or Roger is. Or Virulent is.

In real life when someone steals something is punished for his mistake, right? But if whoever stole something passes to another person, it also pays for the crime. Simple.

It seems I double posted. Grr.

By your logic, Azz should "pay for the crime" since he purchased the stolen charm.

Two things real quick. Heli u said you were going to pay him some money then you contradicted yourself and said he doesn't deserve any more gold ? Confused. And im also confused as to why anyone should take the hit other than ginger. Where is he in all this? He is responsible for paying back his friend(s)

Pretty sure this isn't "ginger" btw . . . It's Gin. And I said that because that's the logic other people were using. Didn't say it was my opinion.

And *Blank* sold it to the person that gave it back to the charm owner.

It is actually much more complicated than that.

You can only be punished for buying and selling stolen property if you knew or should have known that it was stolen. I am not convinced beyond any kind of reasonable doubt that * name removed * knew that it was stolen.

The scammer stole the charm and then sold the stolen charm to * name removed *, who then resold an item that he had bought with 1 million of his own gold and did not steal, scam, or know that the item was scammed.

Instead of creating all of this drama and unfriending people, why aren't you guys creating more of a fuss with OTM that this scam happened in the first place? There are fake characters with very similar names running around our world that are able to scam us. That should be a big deal. That should be what all of the discussion should be about today. Someone has 1 million of Azz's gold and it isn't my clannie. It is the scammer. How hard is it for them to trace the transactions that involved this charm?

I'm guessing that he making a contribution to Azz, just like they say other ppl did, so that he doesn't take the whole 1 million hit.

I don't know about the second issue, but that does seem like a good question.

That's what I said. Those expecting *Blank* to pay Azz back completely, not myself. I've given Azz 250k personally already. So I assure you, it's not me saying he doesn't deserve.
