Re: Why are decisions made based on forum votes?

#41

But decisions being made by rog, lc, ak, callu, instant, cecil, smart, and viru seems a lot better than our current system.

The forum vote system sounds nice on paper but it's totally screwed up right now. Many of the decisions are basically being made by sarge, luk, link, raijin, and a couple others.
Unfortunately we cannot change or fix your degrading view about certain people and guess since it's biased, you have to fix it with yourself first. And unless you respect Lukov and sarge as a start, I doubt you will have many supporters of your opinions when you post, even that you meant good intentions. You can start by making half of Lugh unblocking you Ade. And stop threatening people and scaring them off with your ban threats etc... YOU DO NOT OWN LUGH.

Not forgetting the part where you forced your clannies to unfriend all Lugh so that they don't find out you're about to kill Hrungnir Aggy etc... Which kinda means that you're not interested in the benefit to all of Lugh, but just being biased again...

Apparently this person has some personal problems. Not really sure. I for one am not deciding anything. You voice your logic and if I agree I will say so. Up to this point, your logic has not made sense, so I gave my opinion. Here is a thought for you, stay of the lixes a bit and get accustomed to the game. It might help. I'm sorry if you feel that you have personally been attacked. I for one have never played with you so I have nothing for or against you. Im sorry you have such a caustic view of some peeps on Lugh. Might help if you take a little break and get some perspective. Just a suggestion. You did prove that the forums do work. You propose a rule or something, peeps make responses, then others agree or disagree. So again -1 on your council idea. I'm not sure I want any of those toon you mentioned representing me. I can make my own decisions and dont need someone else to do it for me. As far as the word "noob" being thrown around. Whether you said it or not, please look in the mirror because as of this date, your toon has that title to me. So, please continue to post. I keep an opened mind and I will definetly say if I agree or disagree with your thoughts. Its nothing personal. Have a great one.

-1

I would rather have the ability to voice my opinion and have it out votes than to have 12 people make a decision for me. Also, good luck agreeing with a "counsel" that is a good consensus for the server as a whole. Just because people haven't been playing as long as others does not mean they aren't knowledgable, sophisticated players with tons of past gaming experience who most likely have made similar decisions before.

Lol Elle none of that true. I do encourage clannies to unfriend if people are obviously using the friends list to crash fights. Seems fair. Again, it has nothing to do with this topic.

Sarge, I've barely ever spoken to you. I've
got personal problems now? I speak out about a very broken system and offer a constructive option to consider and somehow you got that out if it?

Critz, those people in the committee are probably going to vote the same as you on almost every proposal. I know it's nice for you to have a voice. But forum voting isn't working very well as a whole. Thanks for not making it a completely anti-ade comment tho :)

This isnt about ade. This is about how to improve lugh.

Lets PLEASE get back on topic.
Constructive comments ONLY!

And this is what we are trying to do. You make your argument and peeps respond. I only addressed you personally because you did the same. Here is a constructive comment, votes should remain on forums. No I get the problems by observing your behavior in-game and on forums. Always a good indicator of someone's true feelings, is they generally get aggravated or go for personal attacks both on forum and in-game. The reports I hear arnt good. But enough of that. Why dont you come up with another suggestion. You and your 1 clan mate have stated that you want a council. You have heard from several peeps that are in opposition to your proposed change. Why dont you come up with another plan? Shouldn't be to difficult. But yes, I have gone through this before on Lugh, so im use to it. Have a good one. Hope that this was constructive.

"I'm not going to come up with a plan myself, Im just going to go with the broken system and ask for ade to keep trying."-Sarge

Yeah real constructive Sarge..your input is always so highly regarded..you've posted like 10 times on my thread so far and none or your posts have helped further solve this dilemma. Just go lvl or something and stop spamming/sabotaging my thread with nonsense.

Going off the deep end again. Sad to see. As stated earlier, forums are the way to go and apparently has a lot of support. Dont get angry when things like this happen, it kind of suggest that you have some hidden agenda. From what I hear and see, others maybe right. So, if you are not going to come up with another alternative, I suggest you close the debate. Your rantings make you appear in a bad light. Of all the comments that have been made, your the only one losing your temper. Just bad taste. Have a good one. Oh, by the way, commenting on your rantings did reveal that most peeps, who comment, do like the way things are done in Lugh.

Ade, the reason sarge does not think of an alternate method himself is because he is happy with how it currently works, in which anyone has a vote if they CHOOSE to. He should not have to devise new plans to a situation you are not pleased with, thats for you to do, and he has provided constructive criticism by explaining the reasoning behind his -1 in immense detail and what he deems wrong about this solution as well as what could result (and has already happened before).

Re: Why are decisions made based on forum votes?

This has gone a bit too far and it's veered way off the topic. Ade proposed an idea of a council and we were sort of voting and explaining why or why not. The personal attacks should be somewhere else. You can agree or disagree with the idea without attacking each other. Its just going to lead to the topic being locked...
