it is with a sad heart that i make this post. For once again, we much breech the topic of DL gear. I know this will come as a shock to many , after all DL gear is flowing like water in the nile - but apparently some items, like crowns, are difficult to get . I know, shocking - but true nonetheless. It would appear that Snorri is not as generous in his primo drops as our friend fellfire . He even makes good ole' falgren seem like a nice guy . Coppinger is a regular philanthopic model of generosity compared to Snorri .

It would seem that having an average of 1 to 2 crowns of any given color drop each week is making some people edgy. Not sure why, it means a fully out fitted person every 1 to 2 months . So for a warrior, if you have 15 warriors trying for DL, it will only take you on average 12 to 24 months to get your stuff! I don't see why this is a problem since you get to robotically log in every two hours for the spawn and hang out with 20 other people equally frustrated. And then you have a good solid 0.25% chance of getting something useful. So why all the frustration and anger? It seems to be a beautifully designed quest intended to keep the player base happy and moral high.

But alas, i like to consider myself a realist. So let us assume for the moment, and i know it is a stretch, that these crowns are actually a royal, no goldly, pain in the A$$. In fact, all of it is. So what are we to do?

some would like to start buying and selling. Some would like to see the current system continue. Some would like to dictate that everyone be nice and agree on the next deserving person to get a crown. Some would rather be doing just about anything other than writing about this. But alas, we all have our lots in life.

so, what should we do? the two solutions i consider the best and most likely to be implemented properly and fairly are:

1. change nothing, we continue to dice by color and DL items are not bought or sold. This has the advantage of being well understood and fostering some cross clan cooperation and friendliness. It also allows good, but poor, players are real shot at DL.
2. Dicing continues as normal (dice by color) but DL can be bought and sold. This has the advantage that people still have decent chance of getting their color if they are at the fight, but also lets the level 190+ toon just pay some $$ to get their last F&*#ing crown (assuming there is a seller).

i would vote number 1. ideally that should be the case. however, not everyone is generous or would rather get their alts geared up first before others main. just sayin. but ima still continue to join dl armour fights as much as i can to help and level up to get into snorri fights too.

As frustrating as this is, i would say just keep it going the way its been. Its slooooow. But its not our fault and im not sure just how many crowns are being hoarded right now. If CH could tweak spawnrate of 5 and 6 stars it would help alot. Also, red and purple crowns are very rare drops. Other items can be dropped by multiple bosses which greatly increase availability. CH needs to change something. In my opinion.

Well, i vote 2. So many holder here and since i got my set ive been giving away my stuff to who deserve it. Atm rules applied on callator only n since he got all his stuff no one else talked about it, why?
I am one of some high warriors, n since 185 ive been lvled same as callu and 080, like a fairly competition. We were highest lvls for months n atm only callu has his sword.. some ppls here want to let mordis down but IM SORRY, OUR HIGH LVL WARRIORS IS NOT GEARED.

Lots also are getting geared by friendlyship, camp 1 time each 24 kills and stole the chance to us, high lvl warriors get our stuff.


grats lugh, we rock! Have enuff players to kill everything right? If 5 more high lvls quit, lugh probably never gonna let mordris down.

What would be the problem with selling drops? It's exactly the same as it would be now except if you find yourself needing some cash and have nothing but day a purple crown then you can sell it? Everyone still has the same chance, you just get more opportunities if people get who are willing to sell.

while i agree with you to some extent - you still have your chance, but now you have a $ opportunity too - the issue is on the otherside. Right now, if you missed a boss and someone got a dl drop you need, you have a chance of getting it without a bidding war. The idea is to help people gear up without breaking the bank.

Some people see this is working, some people see this as a failure. Knowing i am in a clan that where the high levels would give to each other rather profit off each other, i would feel more comfortable with option 2 than i would expect. But i am trying to also consider people who are not in strong and populous clans. So i have not yet decided which way i will vote (maybe i will abstain - then people cannot tell me that MY rules aren't working )

but it is a good conversation to have.

I guess a third option would be to open up (say in January) the selling of gems, eggs, urns to see how it goes and because we are starting to really get extras.
