Introducing: Rules Of Lugh

#1
Welcome Lugh to : Rules Of Lugh

Lets get down with the basics first.......

BASICS
1. No Ksing (Kill Stealing)
2. Level Requirement for bosses are -10 under boss *For major bosses(mostly)*
Explained here
Hello,

Since some people still doubt the rule about limiting of levels in boss fights, I tried to explain the major reasons behind this rule. Please note, that this is about boss fights with 5* or 6* end quest or event bosses and it does not concern 4* or lower mobs.

The reason for limiting levels is quite simple. There are heavy penalties applied to your attack and even skill hits when you are even 5+ levels below and under 10+ below it is getting to the point when your contribution to a boss fight is quite low compared to the players whose level is the same or even higher than the boss level.

There have been discussions when people tried to persuade others that they hit much more than some others despite being 10+ levels lower. But the fact is that on bosses this is highly disputable because there is no objective way to see actual hits of one specific player on the boss.

What can be proven is the fact that if you are one on one with say 4* mob whose level is even 5+ levels above you then your time to kill the mob is visibly longer (possibly much longer) then if the mob were the same or lower level than you are. On 5* and 6* bosses this multiplies because bosses have many times the health, and much higher evasions and resistances than 4* mobs.

Typically, the higher level players also stronger overall because they have higher ability levels, can use more powerful level restricted items. Some also have better balanced stats and skills because they had the time to try different builds with the specific items they managed to get. I know that this last point is disputable but I think that it still applies to most high level players who experimented with their builds to find what suits them the best.

I can tell that from my personal experience. Currently being level 185, I can quite easily and "fast" (for a druid) kill 4* ember wyrm up to level 185. But when it comes to the same 4* ember wyrm level 189, half of my spells are evaded, resisted, or the damage is lowered so it takes me almost twice as long to kill the 189 4* wyrm compared to 185 4* ember wyrm. And we are talking about a regular 4* mob here and a level difference less than 5.

I can imagine, that for a 190 boss my attack contribution will be even less. Being a druid, I can still help greatly with heals, buffs, bark, and every added damage in a boss fight counts because we do not want the boss to rage. But I can also imagine, that a 170 otherwise powerful mage who easily hits 6k+ on mobs would hit below 1k (just a really wild guess here) on a 190 boss because of the penalties. This means roughly 4 times less efficiency than a mage whose level is 190+ and may hit up to 4k (another really wild guess). I really do not think it would be fair for the 170 mage to win a drop over the 190 mage with a lucky roll. I support people but I do not like freeriders and opportunists.

I hope that this will explain the idea behind limiting levels in boss fights.

3. If your group can not kill and needs assistance a dice is expected and will be done *Requested by link*
-Leveling
1. When/If you see a peer leveling, leave him alone and try not to take your leveling at the same time
2. Try and take turns if another persons want to level in your position
*These are not Truly rules but, should be really respected*
-Arena
1. Be Respectful and wait YOUR turn. (if there is a line waiting for a Quest Person please wait)
2. Even Though the arena is meant for killing others, try and respect the low levels so they can do as they please

DRAGONLORD

*ok yes I know you guys have your own system for that so heres just of what I know*

1. *xyn's* Follow her Honor system and get to know who you owe and what you owe
