Things seem to be a bit slow atm. Not as many people are active. There seem to be a lot of people busy with school or bored with the game. In the next month or so the new engine will be released. Then things will pick back up again.

Once all the areas are released to android (only the "new" areas: finigals, carrow, and the sewers have not yet been released) the new engine will go live on ios also. From what I understand, in conjunction with the release of the new engine to both platforms the next event will be released. I believe that after that the content will be synced between the two platforms.
iOS users( me 2) will have to wait almost until fall season for the next update that will have the new engine, unity.
Hi there, just to clarify our current plans. We're aiming to get the iOS release out in the next couple of months, it will be easy to keep tabs on progress by watching the Android version which uses the same engine as iOS will have. As soon as all the zones are out on Android there will be an iOS beta to test device compatibility followed by an iOS launch.
I shall direct you to:

A few in no order:
Summer Event incoming, update to android incoming, update to ios incoming new competitions and giveaways incoming...
Edit: It is possible that the next event will come before the new engine. In all that I've read I cannot find any sort of concrete timeline. It will just depend on how fast OTM can finish with the new engine. In any case, after a couple more months things should pick up a bit.

If you have to ask then no, don't bother. You need self motivation or you'll end up quitting within a week anyways.
