Boss 200: what we can do about classes

#1
I'm going to make this suggestion since it got cancelled a few times before. But I will try to convince you if possible to view it from a different perspective. Please keep whatever rumors you've heard or grudges away as possible from this thread. I'm not making this post because a caster won a tanking ring, or because someone is trying to stop alts from dicing. I could have reminded some of us who bring their 3rd alt to dice at aggy, that they were welcome there all 3 of them and nobody opposed their dicing, even though it's rare to happen and it's mostly with 2 players whom we know who usually bring their less active alt which happens to be a mage in both cases. But let's keep all this behind for now.

I would like to show you the division of classes in drops from 200. Let's take the first example: I took them from this link http://www.celtic-heroes.com/forum/view ... =4&t=56700

Shrivewood (Best caster set)
Grand Shrivewood Aura increases your Fire, Ice, and Nature Magic abilities by 1000
Ring
Defence: 300
Focus 100
Weakening Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Energy: 500
Vitality 100
Weakening Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Focus 200
Vitality 200
Weakening Attack Evasion : +600

as you can see, this is clearly a casters item. The example of lightface cannot be applied here since a specific toon from caster class can roll for this one.
whether mage or druid.

let's move on to the next example:

Ironroot (Best tank set)
Grand Ironroot Aura increases your Armour by 200
Ring
Health: 500
Dexterity 100
Physical Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Defence: 300
Vitality 100
Physical Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Dexterity 200
Vitality 200
Physical Attack Evasion : +600

You also have best dps sets which are 2 and can be used by rogues and rangers they grant cold damage aura and poison damage aura these are their stats:
Bloodthorn (Best DPS set)
Grand Bloodthorn Aura adds up to 200 poison damage to your attacks
Ring
Attack: 300
Strength 100
Movement Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Health: 500
Dexterity 100
Movement Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Strength 200
Dexterity 200
Movement Attack Evasion : +600

and this one:

Frostroot
Grand Frostroot Aura adds up to 200 cold damage to your attacks
Ring
Energy: 500
Dexterity 100
Physical Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Defence: 300
Strength 100
Physical Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Strength 200
Dexterity 200
Physical Attack Evasion : +600

then you have casters set again which grants 200 focus the name says it all:

Spiritseed
Grand Spiritseed Aura increases your Focus by 200 points
Ring
Energy: 500
Dexterity 100
Spell Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Health: 500
Focus 100
Spell Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Dexterity 200
Focus 200
Spell Attack Evasion : +600

Finally after we have given the tank set, druid mage sets, rogue rangers sets, we have 2 sets left that have strength vitality which can best both go to warriors if possible, unless you want to combine all melee together then you have 4 melee sets and 2 casters so far:

Bladeleaf
Grand Bladeleaf Aura adds up to 200 heat damage to your attacks
Ring
Defence: 300
Vitality 100
Wounding Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Attack: 300
Strength 100
Wounding Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Strength 200
Vitality 200
Wounding Attack Evasion : +600

and

Stormleaf
Grand Stormleaf Aura adds up to 200 magic damage to your attacks
Ring
Defence: 300
Strength 100
Spell Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Attack: 300
Vitality 100
Spell Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Strength 200
Vitality 200
Spell Attack Evasion : +600

now we have 4 melee sets 1 tank set and 2 caster sets. 2 dex/strength necklaces. 2 strength/vit necklaces. 1 dex/focus (casters) and 1 vit/focus (casters).

I'm left with the last one. the only questionable one for me class wise. It can be tricky to decide which class it goes for since it offers as much vitality as the best tank set and as much focus as the casters set. I believe all classes should roll for this one. or maybe just tanks. Since Stonebark gives bonus aura to elemental resistances. and that's 200 points to each resistance. for example: I was tanking yultide winter bosses with a godly 50 cold resist charm, now this set grants me 200 cold resist charm bonus as well as 200 points for all the others. I think it's perfect for tanking since tanks have no regen in focus for spamming taunt and casting protective stance defensive formation and shield wall, over and over.the focus in this set is the only way a tank can get some energy, since we had a huge problem with the previous pendant icecrystal of the glacial peak which only does health regen and caused tanks lots of problems. I have personally collected so far the necklace and ring for Stonebark and looking forward to find the misc charm and get the bonus for resistances. And here are its stats:

Stonebark
Grand Stonebark Aura increases your elemental Resistances by 200
Ring
Energy: 500
Vitality 100
Wounding Attack Evasion : +300
Charm
Health: 500
Focus 100
Wounding Attack Evasion : +300
Necklace
Focus 200
Vitality 200
Wounding Attack Evasion : +600

As you can see it also grants wounding evasion which tanks struggle to try to level ability for which is vigour.

In fact, we can unite all the 4 dps drops as melee only. but it's more priority for rangers and rogues to have strength/dex as well as it's more priority for warriors to have strength/vit. I'd personally rather separate them. Bladeleaf and Stormleaf for warriors, while Frostroot and Bloodthorn for rangers/rogues.

You cannot come with the attitude that since everything has been diced for all classes, that it will be used by all classes. I would cry blood if i saw a warrior wearing a nature magic/fire ice ability set. It's very strange that we're giving the most important caster items to non casters and vice versa too of course. Lightface example should not be applied in this boss 200 situation.

I want to insist that Stonebark helps tanks by a lot! huge difference in elemental resistances. i tanked yule with godly 50 cold resist while stonebark gives me aura of 4 godly charms combined 50 cold * 4 = 200 cold resist, as well as magic and heat resist too.
