geez, DL dicing rules - one.more.time

ok, let's run over the DL dicing rules, including their quirks:

1. we dice by class
2. if there is only one grp and an item lands on the proper class - no need to dice (the drop was already fairly and randomly distributed properly).
3. for DL, a person may get more than one drop if they are the only member of that class at the fight. so if 2 yellow urns and a yellow egg drop and their is only one ranger, then that ranger gets all three. if there are two rangers they would split the urns and dice the egg (but each ranger would get at least one drop and one of them would get two).
4. alts can dice like normal, but the player only gets one drop unless rule 3 is being applied. so if a player has a mage and a druid present, and they are the only mage and druid, they could end up with two drops.

With End Game bosses, all items are always dices and players only get a single win. so if there was one mage but 3 mage drops - the mage would choose and the other drops would be dices to the other players.

cheers

One issue I have that isn't exactly clarified anywhere is:
What happens when a green crown and red crown drop. You 'auto win' the green crown because you're the only druid but that automatically puts you out of the red crown(in which you'd prefer) Do you get the green crown anyways and roll for the red or..?

I personally thought(and both times it happened to me it worked this way) I rolled on the item I preferred, lost, and received the auto win at the end.

I always wondered why (like for kron etc.) you would dice each item separately. Why not just have everybody do it once? I mean it takes longer to decide the winners and then you will only have to roll once. Just choose the top three and the 1st place gets first pick ect.

I understand bosses with class requirements, but bosses without...?

excellent question Venus -

i think, in that case - you can choose to dice the red as you did. if you don't win, then, yes, you would get the green. if you do win, that is where it gets ambiguous. In that scenario, since you purposely decided to go for red rather than green, the green should be diced by all. however, a particular group could decide to just give it to you, but are not obligated to.
