dicing in OW

hi all,

i was asked to review the drop rules for ow armor quest bosses (stonelord, lava, woody, etc).

When we developed the rules for dicing DL stuff by class, we did not (purposely) include frozen and below. Basically, all these bosses are easily done with one group and we figured to just let the drops land where they may - including the rings.

so, the 'official' rule is that OW bosses (bosses that drop armor quest stuff) and below are done as a single group without dicing.

of course, this is Lugh, so there is no reason why we cannot change that policy if we so desire.

Note: this does not cover aggy or other endgame/event bosses where items ARE diced by class when appropriate.

thanks all

I think we should roll on ow bosses, by not rolling people start fighting for lock and that might create/start hate and fights amongst the two groups then next thing you know there's clan wars and people never liking each other anymore. also we have so many new players and those bosses might not be easy for them the way it is for us high Levels/top clans. But that's just my thoughts :P

imo....

I am -1 :(

I come from Epona. Now at first I thought it was going to be like, roll for only DL cuz that makes sense. Then it came to event rolls, and I was like,"well crap." Because in Epona I would not hoard them but exchange for my class drop's. The even trolls just bother me, impossible to get a drop for my own class. I can be in one group and I will loose it to the other class already. Then it finally drops something and there is like four rangers and I loose it, then there is that class roll on higher up bosses I hear of and those so called, "Dicing glitchers" and that bothers me even more. If someone keeps rolling 90-100s and thats the only logical thing, in Epona that would be considered "bs" and its no more bosses for you. Because lets face it, no one ever rolls that every single time, like no, just no...

So anyways, let OW be my little Epona. :/

I agree with letting the drops fall where they fall on ow bosses as it's one of the few zones where people can make some decent gold farming.

However, I think the incident that prompted this post was a little more confusing. What happens when 2 groups arrive and are standing at the boss before start? In this situation dicing the drops (not necessarily by class) would make sense. Otherwise you have a lock battle which is not typically how lugh operates.

If you come up on an ow boss mid fight (even before lock) and the group is full.. I would say you are probably out of luck. I would not expect that group to roll with me as they already started and have a full group.

Just my thoughts..

Back in the day it was get there on time and in the group or you're out of luck. Not sure why people think this has changed or should change.

The lock group was the second group there in that incident, coming from 200.

OW Bosses (not including AGGY) can be done by a single group easily. I do not see more than 8 toons camping any of these bosses. What happens is that one person camps, for example stonelord, then it pops, this person calls his/her clan or friends and waits. But then someone comes along that was not called..bummer...then there are two groups or someone just watching his quest guy go down infront his very eyes and his/her sword mark disappears on his compass...boohoo!

REGROUP. If there are players already there ready to kill group them and leave your group. Quit your greediness and just kill it with the people present there. Tell people in your group sorry but there are players here I RESPECT that I need to leave the group and kill it with them. I have never seen OW bosses being camped to the extent that two groups are present there to kill. It is the grouping of people not there that is causing this multiple group problem.

I was a part of this second group at lava. Had I known and been informed that there are already enough players there, I would have not bothered to come at all.

C'mon guys it is OW. Do we need to dice for stonefang too?

I've already fought ow bosses with more than one group a few times, and people often accepted to roll the drops.
They quitted their greediness and accepted to lose drops because they weren't the only ones fighting.
I don't know if there should be a rule, but this way of acting avoids arguments. So why shouldn't we do like that ? even if it's only to be fair, to let everyone have their chance ?
Is it only because of our greediness ?

Rey, you said you wouldn't have come, and it's a nice thing. But if people need the drop ? if they do as many damage as the ones in lock group, why wouldn't we allow them to try to get the drop they need ?

If you are within level requirement then by all means join up. The thing is when you mention the word "NEED" plenty of contentions come in...you need for ur main, you need for your alt, you need for you clanny, you need for you second, third, fourth rogue alts. The word "NEED" has been exploited and somehow is used to masked the real greediness within. So meh...

How hard it is to drop one of you alts in the group to make room for another player? VERY, very hard because...I NEED! Bahahaha!

I guess you are right :/ but how can you say someone says " I need " because of greed ? it isn't always true and no one can know if it is or no.
