My Take on Lugh

Dear People of Lugh,
I firstly want to start this thread by saying that I aim to remain as impartial as possible. As some of you may know, I'm not the most active of players, so what I write here are based on what I have gathered from the forums, and my half an hour or so I play every few days. I have got a lot of grief from some people in the past for speaking out of turn, so please appreciate that I understand that I may sound naive at times; if I am, please be constructive about it rather than flame me.
There is no doubt that Lugh used to be much more cooperative than it currently is, and this may well be natural: plenty of other worlds are like this. However, it is disheartening to see this world turn into one of clan wars, exclusion and tension. Players should log onto the game to
have fun, not to argue and bicker. Some people are treating this as a political way of life than a game. If one user is discriminated against because of the clan they're in, then this shouldn't be tolerated - it won't be in the country I live in, that's for sure.
So what do I suggest?
Clans should have rules. If someone breaks these rules, then that user should be punished by Lugh, not the whole clan itself.
Cooperation between clans should be promoted. Dominant clans should help themselves by helping others too. Being a hated strong clan is far worse than being an admirable strong clan.
Talking and discussion should be promoted over blind immature fighting and arena battles. Countries in this world (or very few of them, at least) go to war without having a discussion first.
Anyway, I would say more, but I need to log off soon :3
I hope I am making some sort of sense, and as I said, I know I may not know the full story and I appreciate that. Whatever Lugh chooses to do, I sure hope it doesn't descend into the chaos that some worlds dip in and out of. Make this a world to envy; a world people would clamber to join.
Peace out

I'm on a new toon since 2013 and I can say that right now, it's very tense.
The relations between clans are quite rough, and the two biggest ones (hobbs and alliance) in a sense completely despise each other.
This is not what I'm accustomed to, so I absolutely hate it. I used to play on Lugh, and Berzerkers was number one, followed closely by Ancients. They had minor squabbles, but for the most part got along well. The players were nice, generous with their items, and inclusive. Now, one clan is trying to take the peace and friendliness and destroy that for their own personal gain. I say that with a heavy heart, knowing that I just made many enemies, but I also feel that I must speak the truth. Furthermore, it's ruined the kind spirit of higher levels towards the lower ones. Sure, there are still some kind higher levels, but for the most part, especially in this clan that is attempting to become dominant, the reaction towards lower levels is quite acidic. I would warn this clan against that...After all, the current low levels are the future high levels.
As far as what I think should be done, I will say this:
Make a set of "universal" rules that are followed by all clans, and make it so those rules allow for the inclusion of upcoming high levels, as well as multiple clans fighting a end game boss TOGETHER. After the boss is dead, have the highest, present ranking clan member from each of the participating clans role on each dropped item. The winners get the items for their clan, and are allowed to divvy the spoils amongst their clan how they please. Also, just for fairness, if two drops were gained, roll on the better one. Whoever wins it, gets it for their clan, and the other clan automatically gets the other drop without a role. This way, everyone gets drops, when possible.
Following a set of rules like what I wrote above will be hard. It will require maturity and a firm hand from all of Lugh's end game clan leaders. However, IT'S WHAT'S BEST FOR THE SERVER, and that is what Lugh has always stood for, rather than individual gain.
Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you in game. My apologies to those of you whom I have undoubtedly offended.
Also, many thanks to Voldemort for being mature enough to bring this up in an open, neutral, and mature way.

That despise between Hobbs and Alliance stems from them all of the sudden deciding to start the exclusion process. At one point in time, not too long ago, multiple clans existed and everyone somewhat got along while bossing. It didn't matter what clan tag was over your head, so long as you pulled your weight at the fight. Then, Alliance took a step further once members were geared through a multi-clan cooperative to then take it upon themselves to be the dominant clan which led to where we are now. If you aren't in Alliance you don't get squat.
Either join them and continue dominance, quit (as many have due to this), transfer servers (which is happening) or just give up bossing. There are too many blind followers in that clan who are in it ONLY for the items that bossing affords. I know multiple people who have their OWN clannies on block because they can't stand them, but want/need the boss drops so they stick with it.
The rest of Lugh has been waiting for Alliance to figure out what the heck they are doing and where the leaves the rest of Lugh. Unfortunately, many have been left behind or screwed over before Alliance declaring completely dominance. Perkamentus won a mordy helm at a fight before "declaring" dominance only to have the drop withheld. That's where a lot of the grief and name calling stems from is situations like this where when someone legitimately wins the item, it isn't given.
Having talked with an Alliance member this morning, I think that the biggest issue and why Alliance is going this route, is that people are tired of seeing semi-active people winning drops continuously. That makes sense. Lugh has always been about the "greater good" of the server when it came to bossing. If you were of level req, on time and geared, you could fight and roll. We worked together as a team since there were many clans (due to not wanting to deal with the drama that a mega-clan brings).
I fully agree that there needs to be a better system when it comes to drop distribution.
Unfortunately, those at the "top" of Alliance feel as though there can only be ONE happy clan on top and that the rest are just freeloaders. Seems as though those people are forgetting how they got to where they are. Most, if not everyone has always come to a boss to fight and not just pick their butts... some alts sometimes sit there AFK for a minute or two, but that happens.
It is sad to see what Lugh has become, all because of drop distribution. I'd rather see something implemented as opposed to creating server war between Alliance and the rest of Lugh. I play the game to get away from real life sometimes ( yes, real life is a thing... some people should learn that), and coming onto a world where there is a lot of drama is annoying and not fun. If I wanted drama I'd listen to my two girls bicker instead.
Seeing some sort of compromise would be better than seeing a world torn apart due to shiny pixels.
Am I upset that bossing is now "exclusive"? Sure, it kinda sucks to be end game level only to have lock battles now happening.
Will it always be that way? Hopefully not.
And a message to those on the inside looking out... there will come a day when the roles are reversed and you will have burned that bridge too bad. You will be on the outside looking in... with no place to go. Clans that you have turned your back on will return the favor.

I do agree on a new set of rules for the whole server; it may be difficult to implement at first, but it will of course get easier with time.
With regards to semi-active people winning drops: some people simply can't afford to play Celtic Heroes that often, and I don't think they should be discriminated against for that reason. I think it's more concerning that some people are getting drops when they don't deserve it for treating other players poorly etc.. If a player has dedicated enough time to be a high enough level to be at a boss fight, and survive it, then they should be good enough to get a drop. If someone has spent time to be at the whole boss fight, then it should be OK. For example, if I turn up at Aggragoth and expect a drop, then fair enough - shout at me for being greedy. However, if I'm level 200 and log on once a week now, turn up at the Necromancer, and get a drop, I'd be confused if people started excluding me from Lugh. Maybe I'm missing something, but that statement alone doesn't convince me.
Thanks for the replies so far.

Some people have real lives and shouldn't be punished for that.

Since I play this game im in Hobbs and I can say we are a really close family. Alliance decided to go dominant because of the reasons you guys already stated. However, its just not fair to exclude people from rolling. I wouldnt say its a fight between Hobbs and Alliance, more like the guys in Alliance that wants to be dominant and the rest. I think some members in Hobbs are done with Alliance because they didnt give me my fairly won mordy helm (we are a family). I agree that some Lugh rules could be changed, like when you already have a mordy helm, you dont roll because others could use it also. If its frustrating to see someone win a drop when he or she only loggs once in a week, so is someone seeing winning a mordy helm or spear for the 3rd time. I just hope this phase will go away, so we can play peacefully again. At the end its just a game we play for fun.

It's great that the players outside of ours would like the world to return to what it was before, as they're the ones being excluded. Our clan puts in by far the most time and effort into clearing end game and if you would like to do the same then by all means go ahead. We aren't here to hold your hands anymore.
Why don't we see these types of posts on other worlds? Because games are about competition and clans are made to house that competition.
This is all a game. Have fun your way, we'll have fun our way.
As a moderator you should know better. Keep these topics off the forums, you're just asking for a flame war.

Your a joke Vulture, your all about yourself. Always bash people who don't agree with you with some sarcastic comment. Your probably one of the most self opiniated little $@#% out there. Alliance has ruined the game overall with my way or the highway rules. They broke a system that was fair for all. What will happen, people will quit or move to another server and Lugh will become a wasteland that has even less people wanting to play. Goodluck luck OTM maintaining your revenue as the game is unbalanced and skewered to the greedy.
