New FFA guidelines??

Hey :)
I'm not from Sulis, I'm just a friendly lad passing on some advice. I've heard stories abot this world, about its problems with KS, and the different clan issues, so thought i would maybe give you an FFA guideline? (This was made by a clan, adn we use it in the world Rhiannon)]

BOSS FIGHT RULES

Druid - Fal, Brut, V, M are always FFA

6* Bosses:
If two clans are present each should announce their intentions before the first hit.
Once a fight starts and no announcement is made and the second clan engages, it is now a KS.
Communication before the first hit is key and can resolve a lot of after fight issues.

A good example is two clans waiting for Root or Belly. A simple: "Hey we plan to engage, FFA?" this would go a long way in clan relationships.

5* Bosses:
At least two clan members must be present to announce a FFA before the first hit.
This way it will be in chat for a clear record.

Hey FFA?
Boss casts......,
(this is a FFA)

Boss casts.....,
Hey, FFA, second clan engages
(this is a KS)

The only time i see this not working is when a clan is forming a group and an opposing clan member sneaks in and hits first before anyone notices. This is important because we are seeing more and more toons solo high level bosses. To do this you have to use a lot of pots, except if your a Druid so setting guidelines is important to the cash flow.

So, if a clan has 4 or more members present before a spawn or hit it is always should be considered as an engagement. Solo stealing a boss is just greedy. If I have four clan members standing next to a boss and a level 90 toon comes in all potted up and steals boss, well expect us to call FFA. Solo stealing a boss in front of a formed group is the ultimate greed. So you best ask first or expect a FFA.

In a perfect world where everyone wins is more or less a noob statement.

Friendly competition and rivalry between clans is fun. I think it makes the game more interesting and fun. Trying to out DPS another clan is always going to have winners and losers, get over it, it is a game!

Laugh a little and don't take a loss of a boss fight so seriously. Noob clan members will be doing stupid things, it happens, we all have made mistakes. Each clan needs to work with those members and help bring about "world peace". Other clans need to have patience and understanding and not brand a clan over a few isolated instances.

All in all, i generally believe that the first group to attack should get it. If two clans are forming groups then stating in chat your intensions is appropriate. Some people don't like this because they get greedy and want all the drops. when people set up a ks when they have all the items already, that's just greedy, and those people lose a lot of respect.

Every clan thinks they are the best. Whether it is because we been around since Adam and EVE or we demand RESPECT, or we are just SINNERS, or you never get INVITE'ed. I hope we can all just get along...

Now let's kick some....

Death, this could work if people actually tried it. The problem with our world is that almost everyone in it is inconsiderate and immature. Now I actually see this catching on if other mature players embrace it. And who knows? Maybe once the more developed and mature players make this a habit, the immature ones will follow along. :geek:

I appretiate your time trying to help us...

Unfortunately things aren't so easily handled in sulis.

No one seems to be able to agree with anyone else... One says it's white the other says it's black...

And because of this, establishing a system like this would be too advanced for a majority of our players to interprate and understand.

It doesn't help that we have some quite ruthless high level players in sulis aswell.. Who don't seem to offer any mercy Reguardless of what "boss system" we come up with... They will simply ignore most offerings.

War will never end here.. Our differences will only grow stronger.

Don't bother to help us... Change will only cause arguments witch will lead to more hatred.

Safe to say IronHaven will be adopting this for a test drive.

I hate to say it but I agree with Hero's comments.

The major problem we have on Sulis can actually be attributed to only 4 or 5 persons. No matter how many times truces/alliances/agreements have been attempted it is always the same players who ignore everything and just continue ksing. The sad part is that they are teaching their bad habits to newer players. Until these few players can grow up a bit then any hope of having peace amongst the higher clans will never happen.

Well then, why can't us higher clans embrace this? If we know the trouble it causes to others then can't we adopt these guidelines? Newer players would see and hopefully be influenced by us. The only reason stuff like this doesn't work is because nobody follows through with it, they see someone break the rules and they stop. Be a leader, not a follower.

My clan's voice isn't loud enough just yet to have a influence on Sulis, but truly I say that if people actually give a damn about our world? They'd stick around to see it fixed. Nothing is impossible, just takes alittle longer.

Phule, you are the chieftain of the best clan in Sulis, 6th best in the game. I don't know you, but surely you can use your leadership in Retribution and at least try this. The majority of higher leveled players are in your hands. Use them as a influence!

Sorry for ranting, but this whole disagreement thing in a game is ridiculous.
