I am a druid. You want me to heal, okay. I can heal, but i cant do anything else. You want me to support. Sure, i can do this, but i have to get boss drops for the 20 or so spells you have for me. So i cant really support. Not unless i join a farm clan, then it gets boring. Touch bark touch embrace touch abund touch breat if im lucky enough to have breath.

At lower levels forget it. I do not have the skill allocation to do whats needed. EVERYONE has experienced the group where 6 people run in different directions and all die. Or you get a quest at 40 in stonevale to kill fellfire with a bunch of gung ho 50's. And honestly, the first time you tried it ya got smoked. (so why even offer it?)

That isnt my gripe however. I was a good little healer, managing cooldowns, last minute saving people from
Certain death, because face it. In a free mmo u shouldnt be forced to have to buy to play. Yes i beliee this firmly, and with gold being so little, forcing people to buy idols and alt books and such is just plain sillly.

Again thats beside the point.

I digress. I was a good little druid. I maxd my touch. Decent embrace. And bark. Then i found WHAMMO it didnt matter. So i made my own build. I now tank, dps and will be able to heal almost all normal bosses in 10 lvls.

And here is where my gripe comes in:

Grand ring of Grasping Roots.

Really? I am demanded to heal, provide wards, and generally prop the group up while they slap pat eachother on a good kill for this?

Im grumpy. I see absolutly no use for this stupid thing. In pvp im going to howling wind and bark a melee class so they cant hit me. Against a mage or another druid ima try ward.

Seriously, in otherworld i get this? A ranger bolas equiv spell when i already dont have enough skill points to do my own job you want properly and dont really have the luxury of playing with it?

Its almost as insulting as the crystal ring of recuperate i have....

Remove silly things like this from otherworld boss drops. Have them drop off things like the rabid dog in the field by the village or even hagvar...

You may have a valid point but you were really rude.

I think druids and mages should get an extra skill point every other level, they are both skill (spell) based classes and deserve this.

I am a rogue btw.

I think the rings dropping from the mobs they do isn't the issue as much as they should just simply have more skill points.

I agree with Guffy, mages and druids are so dependent on skills (spells), and given the number of spells they have in total and the roles they play in the game, I think it is not unreasonable for them to have an additional skill point every other level.
