It would be cool if at level 1 your class affected your skill. Like a rogue starting level 1 with say 50 str 5 dex 10 foc/ vit where as a warrior would start with 5 str and dex 10 foc and 50 vit

I love the idea of set bonuses. I played diablo 2 alot and there sets were fun and added a cool aspect to the game, even though the set armors were horrible once the full set was equipped. As far as the set bonuses go they should get stronger with more pieces ie, a certain bonus with three pieces of the set that increases when 4 pieces are equipped and max's out in the full set. Something like...

For druids and mages: a bonus to all skill. At 3 pieces of gear you gain +1 bonus to all skills. At 4 it goes up to +2. Then +3 and maybe max it out at +5 in full set. Strong enough to notice a different with your main skills but not so strong as to break your skills that you have no points in.

For rogues and rangers: maybe have the set bonuses increase their attack and move speeds. Something like 10% in 3 pieces. 20% with 4 and maxing at 35-40% in full.

For warriors: maybe go with a big buff that includes additional armor, resists, and health or vit. Im not good with numbers as far as armor and the likes go but maybe something like +200 with 3. 300 with 4 and max at out 500 in full.

With having smaller bonuses while not in the full set you'll still be able to be creative and different with different gear while still givin a small buff.

P.S. the abilities and numbers i threw out up there are just suggestions and a place to start.

I think armour bonouses are a great idea honestly I never got my warden, met or frozen gloves, boots or helm till I was well into my 140's not becouse I couldn't but becouse there is simply better gear in the lux store so it was really pointless getting I mean to me this is broken. Here is the ideal I had:

Gloves
Warden - 5% attack speed boost, +2 heat damage
Met - 10% attack speed boost, +2 heat and magic damage
Frozen - 25% attack speed boost, +2 heat, magic and cold damage
Dragon - 45% attack speed boost, +2 heat, magic, cold and posion

Boots
Warden - 5% movement speed boost, +2 heat damage
Met - 10% movement speed boost, +2 heat and magic damage
Frozen - 25% movement speed boost, + 2 heat, magic and cold damage
Dragon - 45% movement speed boost, +2 heat, magic, cold and poision

Helm
Warden - 2 energy regen, +2 heat damage
Met - 5 energy regen, +2 heat and magic damage
Frozen - 10 energy regen, +2 heat, magic and cold damage
Dragon - 15 energy regen, +2 heat, magic, cold and posion

Legs
Warden - 2 health regen, +5 heat damage
Met - 5 health regen, +5 heat and magic damage
Frozen - 10 health regen, +5 heat, magic and cold damage
Dragon - 15 health regen, +5 heat, magic, cold and posion damage

BP - Damage :D (make it most useful for class im a ranger so here are my suggestions)
Warden - 2 pierce damage, +5 heat damage
Met - 5 pierce damage, +5 heat and magic damage
Frozen - 10 pierce damage, +5 heat, magic and ice damage
Dragon - 15 pierce damage, +5 heat, magic, ice and posion damage

If my math is correct the elemental damage from each armour bonous build should be: (this dosent include the bonous slash, crush or pierce damage in BP)
Warden - 16 damage
Met - 32 damage
Frozen - 48 damage
Dragon - 64 damage

The nubers still may need to be tweaked a little becouse its still cosiderably less than Radiant armour, but maybe the bonouses of (pierce, slash, crush) would help offset that.

Just some thoughts would love to see this be implemented I love the storyline and armour quest but with the unvealing of diamond many people just skipped the armour quest all togaher and just use that which I feel desroyed the game.

I have several ideas for set bonuses including:

small health/energy regen
increased attack/movement speed
new skills (like the spiritshadow stuff)
exp/ability bonus (would need to be very small. Maybe 25% more xp gain)
increased backpack space (maybe 25 more spots for a full set)
small camo bonus (10-15%)

For set skills:
(most of these are geared towards melee classes)
speed - adds 25% movement speed for 25 secs
rage - increases damage by 50 for 10 seconds
triple shot - 3 quick hits in a row but with reduced attack
bane - 3k damage to any mob with a very long cooldown

Perhaps for some class specific bonuses we could have:

increased attack range for rangers
increased evasion abilities for rogues and warriors
increased cast speeds for druids and mages
I see an eye of noon! Lemme go bane it

great idea! i can see one problem though. all those non plat buying mages and druids basically rely off their regen items. it just so happens that we were all gifted with a 15 energy regen helm. so if set bonus' do occur, would it also involve wearing the sets helm?

Hopefully the long cooldown would discourage that :p also, im speaking for dragon armour so noobs wouldnt have this luxury :p

Rogues: Haste buff (gloves will obviously be better than heroic in terms of stat bonuses)
Rangers: Speed Boost
Warriors: Health multiplier
Mages: Auto attack proc (not some rare occuring whimpy one)
Druids: High Rejuv effect

For rogues I'd like to see 40% increased attack speed.

For ranger I'd like to see 40% running speed.

For warriors how about 30% health regen.

And for druids and mages I'd like to see 40%

I think all of these abilities should be added with the new dragon armour set.

First idea:
Treasured Dragonscale armor that you could get from killing the big treasure hoarding dragon in the new cave area. This armor would have stats that would be balanced for all classes, and would be somewhat balanced in comparison to the new Dragon Armor; so maybe a bonus to str, vit, dex, and focus on each piece of the armor. And then the main reason to use the armor would be a set bonus where if you are wearing all five of the pieces, you would get a +20 or so percent increase in gold drops (or more or less than 20%, idk what the best number would be).

Other ideas:

My other ideas would give players options wether they use their full armor sets or just a few pieces and Heroic Haste boots/ gloves, or even some mix and matched armor combinations. The ideas i have for Warden, Meteor, and Frozen armor also would help make armors feel more accustomed to each class, as it would boost that specific stat and give caster classes more energy regen.

Warden Armor-
• If you are wearing 3 pieces of the armor, you get a +15 bonus to your class's main stat (Warrior Vit, Rogue Str, Ranger Dex, Druid Focus, and Mage Focus)
• If you are wearing 4 pieces, you get +3 regen per tic for health and energy. Mages and druids get a +6 to their energy regen instead of 3.
• If you are wearing 5 pieces, you get a +25 bonus to your class's stat instead of the 15 from the 3 piece bonus.

ALSO: IF YOU ARE WEARING 4 PIECES OF THE ARMOR, YOU GET THE 3 PIECE BONUS AND THE 4 PIECE BONUS. IF YOU ARE WEARING 5 PIECES, YOU GET ALL 3 (HOWEVER IN MY EXAMPLES THE 5TH PIECE BONUS DOESN'T STACK WITH THE 3RD PIECE BONUS, IT JUST ADDS ON TO IT).

Meteoric Armor:
• 3 Piece Bonus- same as Warden, but a +20 increase to your stat instead.
• 4 Piece- Same as Warden, but a +5 regen per tic, and a +10 regen for druid's and Mage's energy.
• 5 Piece- Same as Warden, but a +30 to your class's stat instead of 20.

Frozen Armor:
• 3 Piece Bonus- Same as Warden except for a +30 to your class's stat.
• 4 Piece- Same as Warden except a +7 regen per tic, and a +14 for Mage's and druid's energy regen.
• 5 Piece- Same, but a +40 bonus to your class's stat instead of 30

Dragon Armor:
• I think the 3, 4, and 5 armor bonus options would work well for Dragon armor as well, however it should have a much more significant boost for each one. Perhaps a 5 Piece bonus that gives an attack speed boost like the Heroic gloves of Haste, so that people will use the while set instead of just ignoring the gloves.

Anyway, there's my suggestions for set bonuses!
