Regarding the auction house, what does that actually mean, bidding on the items?

I would really love to see a market place.

You could buy like a market slots. You could set the price for the items you put in the market slots and then when you log off, if you leave your character in the market/bazaar area, then people could buy your items when your offline.
This would be the best what to earn gold, it would also drive costs down, as people could set prices to make sure theirs sold before someone else.
You could add a search feature and it would list all characters in the bazaar that have that items for sale, then you purchase. When the vendor logs back in, items is gone and he has to gold.
