That is the whole point of the chest, random plat item rewards. If you don't want to take that risk dont buy them.

@ broscientist, thanks for the lesson in gambling. I was unaware that is how it worked.

@cmfl, yes I thought of this but I want the sigils for my main so I do them all on Elv. Oh well, I was just pointing out what was happening so others are aware.
Can you still get sigils from the mystery boxes while sigils are removed from the store? I've only opened a few and not gotten any sigils so I wondered if they were removed too.
