okay so I have all of the pieces except two knights. Does anyone know where I can find them?
Apparently you can't get them from bandits. And I killed over 20 chess apprentices in crook hollow without getting any chess pieces..

what do you get for completing the chess quest? worth it at lvl 40?

The helmet is getting a custom look in the update so yes ^.^

Where do I find the chess pieces. Am I supposed to kill creatures? & if so, which ones? This is the last quest I need to finish. Thanks!

Well like I said, i have killed well over 20 and the chess master didn't come out... Is this a bug?

Im in the same boat and have killed the crookback chess apprentice about 15 times so far and havent seen the chess master regen. Also, is it possible to get a bandit chessmaster to regen in the bandit hideout above the temple area? I thought I did this long ago, but dont remember even seeing a 'bandit chess apprentice' regen before the bandit chessmaster. I just went up to the bandit area and didnt see anything resembling a chess monster (apprentice or master)

Update: the crookback chessmaster just regened after about 15 kills of the apprentice

As far as I can tell. Looks like there are two possible places to get a chessmaster to regen, either in the crookback hollows when you find the room with the Crookback chess apprentice and kill him several times the Crookback chessmaster will regen

Also in the Bandit camp above the temple area there is a small chance of a Bandit chessmaster regening after killing the random monsters in the bandit camp.

There are actually five different chess locations... I have noticed the bandits seem to be easier..
