I think it's on the fact that they both are AoE cast skills. So both aren't as effective when going solo, but with a full group, everyone benefits from the skill.Discuss rangers skills elsewhere lol.
In terms of that ring, I actually like it, but the logic of it is flawed.
Defensive Spikes - Need to be in tank-group to cast it.
Sharpen Weapons - Best used in a DPS Group with 7 other Rogues.
Sharpen Weapons is useless in a Tank Group with a Tank and Druids, but Defensive Spikes is useless in a DPS Group that are not being aggro'd.
Really makes me wonder how much thought goes into things like this.
