one question about devine damage

does this damage also boost ur normal damage and work on normal mobs but more effective on chaos mobs?

Or does devine damage do nothing on non chaos mobs?

And same with chaos resistance.

I believe divine damage only helps on chaos mobs, and it does not boost your normal attack. And chaos resistance does nothing on the regular mobs for you because they don't deal chaos damage.

divine only helps on chaos mobs
also it seems that alot of the "event" mobs/bosses are chaos mobs except they dont say it
which i find annoying

how do i know this?
for some reason people have been unleashing divine strikes on witches and stuff
