We are having an issue on our world where rival clans after losing lock on a boss they go out of their way to make it more difficult to finish the boss. None of their shenanigans have worked but it has cost us a few idols.
They pull adds into the fight.
They cast spell on members
They stand in the boss so targeting is more difficult.
They try and pull boss out of area to force a reset.
Etc....
I tried to post it in the CH world forum and it was removed. :|
I did not call out any person but I did reference the leadership of a particular clan.
But I also posted a video link without making any reference, just using it as an example.
I have refused to join our FFA groupie discussion group because I feel strongly that words do hurt. And I do not want to support that environment.
I guess my question is, where do we work out our world issues?
Is it not allowed on CH forum?
Is posting an actual in-game video event not allowed?
Does that make this game offensive?
Or are tactics like this encouraged?
Where is the proper place to discuss issues like this?
Re: How does a world deal with low class behavior?
#2I seem to think I read somewhere it is against some otm rules that once a lock is in place on a boss or something that others cant interfere and ruin it for others... Lol ...

#3Never said it was against any rule, I just want a place to talk about this low class tactic.I seem to think I read somewhere it is against some otm rules that once a lock is in place on a boss or something that others cant interfere and ruin it for others... Lol ...
When a clan brags about being the best, this inconsistent behavior reflects otherwise.
If you were to do something real stupid in the real world you would quickly find it posted on Facebook or even pick up in the news media. There is not really a place within CH to do this I guess.

Re: How does a world deal with low class behavior?
#5The way I see it, if you have a healthy rivalry with another clan, you have to get lock and keep it. If the mobs overwhelm you and you lose lock... Then thats competition. Its a competitive tactic for sure. This game sorely lacks content, so competition is just about all we have. Beef up and plan the boss strategies with extra mobs in mind. Competition is rarely conducive to friendly behavior.

#6If the goal is to make it more difficult, thus making u use more idols, how is it the shenanigans are not working? We are having an issue on our world where rival clans after losing lock on a boss they go out of their way to make it more difficult to finish the boss. Re: How does a world deal with low class behavior?
#7These are tactics that are frowned upon on our world, and for a good reason. Friendly competition is fun but when sportsmanship starts turning crappy and dirty tactics are being used, it stops being a game because people take it as a threat and get stressed.
Perl, you taking this to General Discussion asking how it should be dealt with is childish.

#8Assuming you are in the rival clan pulling of these dirty tricks, are not in the position to speak. These are tactics that are frowned upon on our world, and for a good reason. Perl has a beautifully constructed and mature post, and makes it clear he/she wants anything aggressive to occur. The fact of matter is that idols can essentially be from buying plat, which comes from real money. Smart people use it wisely and, I would get pissed of too if a weaker clan started doing crap and saying "its just a game". It is a game, but when you spend real money on it it becomes a virtual investment. It also costs people gold.
At end-game level, not sure any of those people are allowed to say "its just a game" when they have gotten to such a high level and spent lots of time on CH. You should know game mechanics by then and the effort it takes to pull off such powerful bosses.

#9Wow, did you read my post?Perl, you taking this to General Discussion asking how it should be dealt with is childish.
I posted on Rhiannon and it was taken down. Not sure why, I did not name a single player, just the clans involved.
With your help one of those clans has been identified.

CH seems to be forcing these conversations to be taken place off these forums. I prefer not to be a part of those discussion groups.
Acebow, thanks for reiterating my point perfectly

So, again, how does worlds work out this issues when discussing them is not allowed?
Re: How does a world deal with low class behavior?
#10Heh, the "best" clan in my server does this alot.
Heck, they do it to low lvls in stonevale just to pss them off .... Its a competitive tactic, and I believe its not against the rules, so...
