To me, this makes the game fun. You don't go to Bob the Everything Merchant and buy your items with your sack of gold. You have to use every penny, your will, and your intuition in cooperation with other players. Now, would I like to see easier gold flow in the game? Certainly. However, don't look at it as such a bad thing, if you get into merchanting in an economy like this, it can really be a fun way to spend time outside of combat. Merchanting, or finding deals, either way your saving yourself quite a bit of time that could be spent elsewhere.Truly the easiest way is just to put yer head down and grind.
I know it sucks but if you don't buy from merchants and instead buy from players selling their handmedowns you can find good or better deals. Just scan the merchants be aware of the prices and then look for ones you can afford.
This works for the lux shop as well, getting a bronze or lower quality ammy or offhand is huge for your character but if you buy them from players you can then grind easier and lvl faster,
There is NO easy way to gain money, but you can find the best deals, and maximize what gold you have to make your character better and make it faster to then make more gold. But you need to actively work, check market prices and work at it on a will and intellectual level
Best of luck,
Tea
Looking towards the future, I've suggested many times, along with many others, that we implement staking (dueling 1v1 in PvP while wagering money on the fight, or perhaps even gambling on a board game within the tavern) to allow for cash flow between players. Right now, its only based on merchanting and trading.
Whatever you decide to do, have fun with it!
